Recently got into the original 90s OVAs; if anyone has cels they are willing to sell/part with, send me a PM
Hoping to find one good cel of Birdy herself, although I'm interested in any cels/genga from the series.
Thanks in advance!

Novus and Anime Cels-Test results
Got some free time, so I figured I'd report back on how Novus' plastic cleaner works on cels. Firstly, the cleaner I'm talking about is this: http://www.amazon.com/NOVUS-7100-Plastic-Polish-Kit/dp/B002UCYRZU/ It's a universal plastic polisher, often used on small windshields and CDs/DVDs. Novus 1 is...

Re: Cels just dropped off at a framing place
Great cels :) I talked with a random framer once, and he knew what edge strips were, so you may have some luck. That framer's first go-to was to use corner pockets (scrap-book style) which work pretty well, especially on standard size cels. (Larger cels will tend to buckle when their middle isn't su...

Re: Cels just dropped off at a framing place
Oh and I meant to mention - there was tape holding the cel layers together when I bought it. Is it a problem to remove it? None of it touches the paint, only the bare plastic. The single-layer cel is already curling. I have a feeling this is because it wasn't cared for well and probably went throug...

Re: Vinegar syndrome--what to do now?
Still working on pics, but I figure I'd give a quick update since this thread hasn't died: Some stuff came up, so I only got to try the Novus test last week; Anyway, I basically handled the bulk of the vinegar syndrome with Microchamber paper and airing out/bag replacements. I think I acted fast eno...

Re: Cels just dropped off at a framing place
I have some experience in this; mostly from my own research and some help from a family friend who worked in framing...note that this is ultra-paranoid/conservation...take with a grain of salt: I can't think of any immediate damage that could happen in the worst of framing jobs; most framing issues ...

Re: Unknown cel...anybody know what it's from?
I'm guessing it's from some obscure/adult OVA, but I really have no clue. Good guess, this is from Inma Seiden...a quick search on rubberslug landed me at Doug's cel gallery, which owns a sequence mate to your cel. http://dougcels.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_info.asp?ItemID=301781 Nice work! Kinda a...

Unknown cel...anybody know what it's from?
So after looking through various galleries/character-databases I still have no idea what this is from... Besides the scan: Anime-World-Star had this cel at some point (The bag has their sticker on it) It's slightly oversized (10.5 x 10.5) Registration holes/frame number (C14) are on the bottom. I'm ...

Vinegar syndrome--what to do now?
I've been Google-ing a bit, and I couldn't find an obvious answer. Partly because there isn't one, I know... :bawl I have a non-valuable cel (I like it quite a bit, but financially it's worth like $20), and it's severely vinegar-ing. It's warped on the edges; however, the paint is still very good. C...

Cheap-ish Thundercats Cels on YJ
I dug around in the all cels pile, and found several poorly labeled Thundercats cels, all buy-it-now (or whatever the YJ equivalent is): http://sellinglist.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/user/ochagara7? Considering the exchange rate, some of those aren't bad deals. Standard auction warnings apply, but I figur...

Hello Anime-Beta! Joined Rubberslug a bit ago, and then found out there was a cool community for cel collectors...thought I'd introduce myself. I started collecting ~1 year ago. I was on yahoo japan for non-cel reasons (Wonder Project J2, an awesome japan-only N64 game), and wondered what kind of ja...
