Re: And Yet the Town Moves op Cut40

Wow man, it looks like you've got every frame there at the layout stage. If not every frame, nearly every frame anyway. I didn't think studios usually did layouts over this many frames-they must have really wanted to get her moves just right. That show is relatively recent too, note the widescreen a...

Rated, please feel free to rate mine too. While I'm not familiar with the other two series on you page, Azumanga Daioh is one of my jams. I must say you've zeroed in on a sequence that so succinctly illustrates Osaka's handle on the word around her. It also gave me some insight into Osaka's appeal....

Re: Ayumu Kasuga

I'm afraid not. I grabbed a screencap with some software that can playback YouTube videos, and cropped the sides with an image editor. I suspect whoever posted it must have had access to the (currently) Japan-only BluRay release, it is an incredibly clean shot. Sentai Filmworks seems to have let the...

Re: Ayumu Kasuga

Thank you for finding it! I'm gonna put that on my Rubberslug alongside it if you don't mind. I've always loved Koyomi. This is exactly the kind of Azumanga douga I've always wanted too and the pose I typically look for in cels. By all means, please do. I looked it up when I was thinking about buyi...

Re: Ayumu Kasuga

Ah, yes I saw that one on eBay-nearly went nuts trying to find it in the series. Finally found it in the last minute or so of Episode 8 - The New Years' Dream Episode. azu_e8_yomi.jpg The gentleman with his back turned to the camera must be on another layer. This is an excellent presentation for Yom...

Re: Is Shopping Mall Japan dead?

I was able to get my deposit back, but I had to get a PayPal account to do it. This may surprise some people, but SMJ did not require a PayPal account to pay for auctions and orders, you could simply pay as a guest. That was one reason I stuck with them. The shop's URL now points to "The Weeb L...

Whoops. I got off in my memories and neglected to comment on the cels.

I'm sorry about that. You've got some really nice cels. I've never been that interested in the mecha subgenre, but I must say your cels do a fine job of selling the concept.

Re: Lagrange Point 0 - GoalieZero's Gallery - Back From The Dead!

Ah yes, Gundam Wing-not overly familiar with it, has a neat art style though. Do have some knowledge of the music, though. Rather like the song "Tatoe Kimi ga Hohoende Mo", by Hikaru MIDORIKAWA (as Heero Yuy). Sounds like Michael from Marmalade Boy, which is no coincidence. I sound like I'...

Re: Is Shopping Mall Japan dead?

This is quite sad. I was leery of trying to obtain anything through a deputy, but overall their process was fairly straightforward. I will say this-everything that I acquired through their service I received. Service fees were good compared to a lot of deputies. In the process of getting my deposit ...

Re: Saying hello

Welcome to the forum. I'm partial to your Marmalade Boy cels. I can't tell for sure about Anju, but it looks very much like Jinny has her original background. Hang on to those backgrounds. Toei didn't often concern itself with keeping backgrounds and cels matched when photography was through, at lea...

Re: A spring update

While sketches are generally much easier to maintain (as long as they're not taped anyway), some cels have a way of capturing one's fancy that paper just can't quite match. I suppose the same can be said for some sketches though. I don't recall having watch any of the titles represented by the cels....

Re: Marmalade Boy Ep. 34 Genga Set - That's it Miki-san, Right Into the Trap

I didn't know your were an MB fan. I never actually meant to fall for this series. It's kind of hard to explain without going well off topic, but I sort of started out thinking I'd do a "modified limited hangout", check the series out then leave well enough alone. Before I knew it, I was h...
