Re: New CCS Manga

I've been reading it. You're right, its going incredibly slowly. I'm under the impression they plan to wrap it up soon but it feels like theres probably still a year or more before they'll be done, especially if they keep taking breaks.

I do hope we see an OVA or another season of the anime.

Re: Anywhere to shop in Kansai?

Thats a bummer but definitely lines up with all my searching. Oh well. Probably better for my wallet in the end.

Anywhere to shop in Kansai?

Hey all

Hubs and I will be traveling Kansai in August and I'm wondering if anyone knows anywhere left that might be good to check out for cels. I'm familiar with the guy up in Tokyo inside Nakano but we'll be sticking to Osaka/Kyoto/maybe Kobe or Hiroshima. Anywhere worth going?

Re: Pan Cel Storage

Thanks for the input. I wound up buying an 18x24 portfolio (the background was about 12x23). Its awkward and I wish there was a better solution but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Slicing up 3 cel bags to cover the background worked well. Turns out the cel itself was normal size for CCS, but the background is massive.

Re: Giant Fushigi Yugi pan cel

Whew I'd buy that in a heartbeat but i definitely also dont have room for that. I hope someone snags it though! Great cel! Fushigi Yuugi was the first series i ever owned a cel from at age 16, and my mom donated it when I moved away for college. That was a long time ago, I sometimes wonder what ever...

Pan Cel Storage

Hey gang So I've read all about storage of cels and I have all of mine safely stored in nice bags and whatnot. But I now have a pan cel with no clue how to storage. I don't necessarily want to frame it (though I could, I just cant afford to right now). Any suggestions? I'm not seeing mylar bags in t...

Re: YJ Buyers getting bullish on CCS

Sellers are getting a little too optimistic with their pricing. I'm seeing stuff from the latest Mandarake auctions for 4-5x what they paid Mandarake for.

Re: YJ Buyers getting bullish on CCS

The seller of the OP cels pulled them all about two hours before the auction ended. I actually got up early to keep an eye on them. Oh well. Heres hoping more fun ones pop up soon!

Re: YJ Buyers getting bullish on CCS

Thanks! Yeah sorry I wasnt clear, I meant while looking at Kero I also noticed the grumpy Sakura cel which looks pretty fake. It's too bad as thats definitely a wish list item for me. Hopefully Kero will go for a reasonable price though I'm not counting on it. I'd love to go for those other OP cels ...

Re: Potentially scammed on a trade with renowned person in community

I'd be patient for a day or two. USPS is notoriously terrible. I often have packages suddenly show up without having been marked as received at the local post office, things don't get scanned for several days.. recently had a package take 14 days that was sent Priority Mail 2 day. I wouldnt start to...

Re: YJ Buyers getting bullish on CCS

I've got a feeling fakes are going to start showing up to capitalize on the market. I've got a close eye on a Kero-chan cel from the first OP thats up, and while checking it I noticed this https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s584478348 Theres no number on it, and it just looks a little too ...

Re: YJ Buyers getting bullish on CCS

Thanks! You make good points about the market eventually returning back to low prices. Thats actually what sucked me in -- a $30 Kero-chan cel that I picked up at Nakano Broadway while on a trip to Tokyo. I am really pleased to see some nicer ones coming to market. Mandarake auctions have been reall...
