Re: What is the most amount of money you’ve spent on any production art?

Since I collect Last Unicorn cels, I have crossed the $1K mark. Oddly enough, the 2 most expensive cels are not from the LU. Still, I have never even come close to the before-mentioned $12K ( 8O not even close to half that 8O ). I have never regretted the most expensive cel (a regular cel from the s...

Re: Ever done any analysis on your collection?

Yep. I keep track of all sorts of stats on my cels, backgrounds and sketches. Its both scary and fun to see how things have been going over the years. 1) Most cels bought in a year; 61 in 2006 2) Average spent on cels alone over 23 years $308 (this covers quite the range from freebies to expensive L...

Re: Any fan cel artists out there?

Thanks. I miss the Good Old Days. There used to be fan cel artists all over the place. I guess its a dying passion since there are less cel collectors than there used to be. I wish I had the talent for such things. I am barely more advanced than stick figures. Daryun was made back in 2002 by Require...

Any fan cel artists out there?

Its been a long time since I have bought I fan cel, and I don't think any of the previous people I worked with are around anymore. I have a few images from CG show screen captures and such I would love to have converted to cels. I have never been too excited about sketches as I love the colors in ce...

Re: Anyone else currently in this situation?

Although it was a long time ago, shortly after the September 11 attacks (and to a lesser extent --- the following Anthrax scare), international mail was also delayed quite a bit. I had a cel that was supposed to come to the US from a Canadian collector. It took about a month and a half to get to me....

Re: 2019 Year in Review & 2020 Cel/Sketch Resolutions

1. What was the best thing that's happened to your gallery/collection in 2019? Hard to say. Things have been getting slower and slower. I guess it would have to be that I have found a new way of keeping track of my purchases. Before I just had a bunch of lists made out on my computer. I finally mana...

Re: I need a gallery...

Glad to see you're still around. :)

I wish I could give you some advice, but I'm kind of in the same boat. I just use a XML / CSS template I made years ago and tweak it here and there. Hopefully someone here can give you some info. I would love to see how your collection has grown.

Re: 2018 Year in Review & 2019 Cel/Sketch Resolutions

1. What was the best thing that's happened to your gallery/collection in 2018? 2. What was the most surprising thing that happened to your gallery/collection this year? The answer for both of these questions is pretty much the same. It is that my collection has continued to expand. For a long time i...

Re: Gallery Update

Congrats. Its always exciting to "finish" a section of your gallery. Who knows, maybe someday you will find one of the super rare ones. :)
