It's great to hear this will be happening! (Though good for my wallet that it's not any series I'm after yet...)
How do the Commisioned Rilezu (might not be catchy, but easy to understand... maybe Rilezu by Request? Lots of R's ^^) factor into the number of rilezu made for a series?

From a point of general overview, I buy quite a variety. For some series, it's everything. For other series, it's only certain characters. For other series, it's only certain scenes. For some series, it's just one or two representative cels. Special scenes mean the most to me, followed by special ch...

I'm probably one out of 1000 people who actually tries to adhere to that :? . Have more faith Yuuki. Perhaps by hanging out in different circles, I have a much more positive view of people following through. Sadly these people are tired of this debate here because it's so depressing. They're a larg...

Some people have mentioned that they don't want to pay for an English dub that they don't watch. I'm not a dub fan either, but to each his own. However, I believe that if anything, the bilingual R1s have brought down the price for us sub fans. It's a supply and demand issue. For years, the dub VHS w...

I find it odd that the HK stuff can claim to be licensed, when it might not be. I understand that if it is, in fact, a legit license it would be for HK and not America ... but at least there would be some exchange of money to the creators. These are illegitimate pirating companies. A legitimate HK ...

While we're on the subject I was curious about something. The HK dvds do say they're licensed (in HK) ... so aren't the companies making some profit off them? Didn't the HK companies actually pay for the anime when they first got the license, or am I totally off base? Many people claim that they're...

Furthermore I think that me buying such DVDs has no inpact on the anime industry in Japan (because lets face it the US anime industry is just a marketing move to make more money, anime would continue being made is they sold to the US or not). Anime companies release their orinial Japanese DVD relea...

Keys - you've purchased Japanese release DVDs .. do they ever come with English subtitles? :? I'm guessing its extremely unlikely, but if they did I'd definitely purchase the Japanese released DVD if they had English subs... There are some (more and more with coproductions) out there. My Ghibli DVD...

Sorry, those HK releases that pack episodes onto disks and often have Chinese subtitles are indeed bootlegs. eBay has a huge bootleg problem and I think the anime companies just don't have the time and money to really shut them down. I also think eBay doesn't want to shut them down if they don't hav...

I can't say I'm too pleased with the costume or what I'm hearing about the film. Maybe the movie will stand okay in it's own right... but will be some sort of different Catwoman in my mind. I think Halle Berry is really pretty... but that outfit is so bad, it's probably the most unattractive I've se...

I put genga, layouts and backgrounds about even and first. Both of course depend on art, scene, and so forth. I really like how backgrounds are actually on screen. However, I feel often genga and layouts more capture the scene while maintaining their own art quality. However, even in some non-CG ser...
