Been on collecting hiatus for 8 years- back and looking for a favorite dealer

Hello everyone! I have been on an almost decade long collecting hiatus but I’m finally getting back into collecting again and it’s awesome to see so many familiar faces are still here and still collecting and going strong! That said, one of my favorite sellers to buy from in the past, I was wonderin...

Re: Entire Gallery Up for Offers

Hi guys, I'm just bumping this thread really quick to cut down on the amount of frustration from people I haven't been able to get back to yet. I really don't want to rehash everything about my personal business, but I am really ill and treatment leaves me exhausted and feeling sick so I am very slo...

Entire Gallery Up for Offers

Hello everyone, It has been a long time. There have been some majory life-altering situations in my life over the last few years, and now with the latest situation that has just come up, I've been forced to rexamine my priorities. As much as I love cel-collecting and as much joy and friends it has g...

Very glad to hear there was no permanent damage. I know that if I was expecting cels, I'd freak out if I saw that on my doorstep.

The worst I ever had was when an eBay seller shipped me a cel in an old ziploc baggie.

I completely understand. I was a complete wreck 6 years ago when I lost my Eskie. She had been there with me through the awkward years of junior high, HS, and college. I literally didn't go into work for 2 weeks because I was so overcome with grief. Only a few years ago was I able to finally get ano...

Thank you everyone for your responses. While we're still on the subject, what are the main differences between the 2 different types of poly bags (polywhosit and polywhatsit )

No..No..fraid not. McDouble just doesn't do it for me. It's just not the quality I aspire to. Only a Wendy's burger will do.

LOL. ^_~x

You people are making me hungry. I think I'll go grab something.

And I believe Zerospace put into better words what I was trying to say. I would hope no one is disappointed in everything they've put into their collections so far just because they feel the quality isn't on par with others. It's not important that you be the most popular collector with the best thi...

Lol, just about everybody's replies has begun with "hmmm". Not to step on any toes: I do believe it's perfectly fine to aspire to the beautiful selection and wonderful gallery layouts of our fellow collectors. And we should remind them that we are grateful that they share their amazing col...

When everyone is saying they leave their bags unsealed and open on one end, I assume you still fold over the loose flap, correct? If you shear off one entire side and leave it open, there is the risk of dust and other particles getting inside the bag and adhering to the cel and/or damaging it.

This does bring up another question: I've heard cels should be allowed to 'breathe' and the opposite. Oxygen oxidizes paint, so wouldn't punching a hole and exposing the cel to air be bad? Or is completely sealing it off bad? I've heard both arguments and I never know which one to go by.

Hi- your answer to fan cels really depends on how much you want to invest in supplies. Several artists have cut corners and still made really nice fan cels. I went to school for animation and personally, I prefer using all 'real' animation supplies. The store I drive into town to use does sell onlin...

I just sent the lister a message: That's actually a pretty nice cel of Shere Khan, but , lol, that is one hideous old lady thing next to it. I think you'd have a better chance of selling that cel if you retook a picture without that creepy thing and its souless eyes staring at potential buyers. Act...
