Re: 2018 Year in Review & 2019 Cel/Sketch Resolutions

1. What was the best thing that's happened to your gallery/collection in 2018? I updated Devilman cels towards the beginning of 2018, and then more cels to my gallery in August and September of last year. The cels added later were from a variety shows, including: the 1960s 8-Man; 1980s-90s OVAs: 8-...

Re: Our display for the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society

Awesome. How long did they have your art on display?
I'm sorry I didn't know about it.

Is the place open to the public? I've never been inside, but I've driven by it.
I think it's on Victory near Griffith Park.

Unfortunately, I don't remember much about Artimage III, except that it had an industrial techno OST.

Re: Two "Identical" Magic Knight Rayearth Cels

I have not watched Magic Knights Rayearth. I've always thought the mech designs looked cool, but I never watched the show. Anyway, I went to YouTube, found episode 37, and took the following screen-cap: https://farm1.staticflickr.com/851/43744646151_3265b9e11d_c.jpg Underneath the cap, your old cel ...

Re: Forgotten Anime #1 - Voogie's Angel

I generally like the work of Masami O'Bari. He's like an Anime mech god. He did a lot of animation for the Brave Series, as well as a lot of work on Dancougar, and Machine Robo. He did the openings for Dragonar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Qtac6uabSI), and Tekkaman Blade (https://www.youtube.co...

Re: There are those Pieces

I think most anime cel collectors have seen images that "haunt" them from cel or sketch auctions. Even if I don't like the show or don't collect it, most times the image on the cel/sketch is the major motivating factor in whether or not I'll try to buy (within price constraints). If I don'...
