Re: Happy Birthday, zerospace!

Thanks cutiebuny & kathpatty! :)

No artwork this year for me -- there just has not been anything I really want for sale. ^^;; Hubby did get me some lovely flowers, though! :D

Re: Mandarake big web auction

Ok cool, would have kicked myself for not bidding, anyone else know what other dbz cels will be for acution? Are there normally a lot.of dbz cels.included? Patience, young padawan :rollin ;). Once the auction starts, you'll have plenty of time to look, register, and bid on anything you like. You sh...

Re: $999... Seriously???

Gotta love that eBay lets this go. I see he ended a few of these listings early, probably to sell to someone directly and avoiding eBay fees (they say that the "seller ended the listing early because th item is no longer available for sale" Yeah. Right. ). *sigh*

Re: Mandarake big web auction

The BWA is a quarterly event (next one starts Oct 1). If you want to see items prior to them being posted on Mandarake's auction site, you need to buy the catalog (Zenbu). Buying the catalog gets you a seat at the table (meaning you're paid up to participate in the auction), but if you don't buy the...

Re: $999... Seriously???

I hope no one bids on them :P They can't. I'm fairly certain he set them up this way to specifically discourage people from using the Buy It Now button (they are all fixed price listings using the buy-it-now/best offer system). It appears he's using this system to solicit offers so that either whil...

Re: $999... Seriously???

HA! I know that seller! :rollin If you read the descriptions, they say this: These auctions are designed for you to make an offer. I will only be listing this auction once. No relists. One chance only. Please do not ask me what my asking price is because there are various factors that account into w...

Re: Getting your collection insured

Since you've had your collection insured for so many years, do you have to show some sort of proof as to the current value of the items? Or do you just add an item to your insurance once and that's it, for as long as you have it? I'll see what they say regarding everything I've bought in the past y...

Re: How do you like to keep track of your purchases?

I'm kind of what Animechaos said.... :D I did used to keep track, but the records started to become long and complicated and without a lot of meaning. Complicated because it became hard to sort out individual prices for pieces bought in lots. Without meaning because the real point of knowing what y...

Re: How do you like to keep track of your purchases?

I started keeping an Excel file, too! It serves as a directory for my gallery, in case Rubberslug ever goes under. It was painful losing all the data and scans in my personal gallery back in 2006, and I didn't want to take any chances this time! I have organized it by each cel (one per row), with t...

Re: How do you like to keep track of your purchases?

The web software I wrote to run my gallery keeps track of this for me. There are hidden fields for cost & source, which I always fill in, and the software records the date/time I uploaded the cel -- I also wrote tools that will break gallery sections down to show amounts spent and they can be so...

Re: Help with locking down Tumblr

Long story short, I'm attempting to lock down my account a little bit more, but I'm having trouble doing so. I tried to activate the Two-factor authentication with my Japanese cell number, but I never received any notification from them. Using a Google search, I found that you should have the optio...

Re: Annual Cel Contest 2015!! - A Tentative Start!!

I understand, JD, I do. It was just a suggestion. :) For reference, though, in the contests that my code was used to run and hosted on my web server, I can STILL provide the voting logs that show date, time, IP addresses, email address and beta usernames as well as what votes were cast. All my web d...
