Re: What Do You Miss (And Not Miss) from The Good Ol' Days
My 15 year anniversary on Rubberslug was last month. I have also been thinking about how much this hobby has changed since that time and honestly myself too. I started collecting a couple years before that at just 15 years old. I never realized I was in the good ol' days back then! I was present dur...

Re: Midori's site?
They are redoing their shop and selling excess inventory on YJ. After all that they hope to reopen the web shop in September.

Re: ID another YYH cel, oops
The sketch just came up on YJ if you see this in time. It looks to also come with the timing sheet and they correctly state the episode as 89 as well lol.

Re: Best Scanners for Scanning Cels?
I'm grateful that you took the time to post about this large format scanner and I've been pondering this model since. I held off when I read a review from a user frustrated with it when trying to use it for fine art as there are apparently immovable pins (I presume for the lid) that block content e...

Re: WTB Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Fate/Zero genga
The best selection of FMA Brotherhood sketches I have seen is at Madoka which you probably already know. They are running a half off sale currently and do so a few times a year. Even with their sales they are still too pricey for me, but if you have the money that is the place to check out. Can't sa...

Re: Best Scanners for Scanning Cels?
I use an Epson Expression 10000XL Wide-Format Scanner. Got it for around $500 used on eBay with free shipping, new it was around $2000. There have been updated models since then, but if you can score one of the large format Epson scanners you will be very happy. They are bulky, but I love the way Ep...

This one sold for $1,878. Very cool looking cel, but chances are whoever bought it got burned.

Re: Buyer BEWARE! - New Seller on YJ
Ya the sketch was easy to compare from the damage marks being attached to a cel at one point. They are identical though. If a couple auctions are fake then the 1000+ auctions are probably as well. Good catch and thanks for getting the word out. Unfortunately they have lots of bids currently. I bet t...

Ya those indeed are exactly the same. Thanks for the heads up I was watching one of their auctions, not anymore.

Re: Gallery up for Offers, plus more!
Yes I cannot recommend this seller to anyone because he strung me along for over two months and eventually dropped off the face of the earth :( . Initially I paid for a couple pieces and he asked if I was interested in more and I responded with some inquires. At first I gave him the benefit of the d...

Re: Gallery up for Offers, plus more!
Just checking to see if your ok. It's been a couple months since I sent payment and still waiting. I know I was interested in other pieces as well, but if you would just send the ones I paid for that would be ok. If your too busy for that you can refund me. I sent a couple private messages and have ...

Re: What bothers you about this hobby?
There are lots of things that bother me about this hobby, but the current state of the hobby or lack thereof is what bothers me the most. It seems to me that it has become a fad dying out. There used to be a ton of collectors and sellers when I started back in 2000 and the majority have pretty much ...
