Re: Annual Cel Contest 2015!! - A Tentative Start!!

So before ya'll get to taking off and running with this again, I'd like to pose a question: is there any way you can find an alternative to Survey Monkey? I appreciate that you're using them to do the worst part of the contest running job (tallying votes), but the past couple of contests were so tim...

Re: Does anyone else cringe when they see this?

Ugh, I don't mind buying and reselling on average. I've done it before (though usually in a "I like this cel, but I just bought a cel I REALLY like and need to make money to pay for it..." way), and I've also bought lots where I REALLY wanted one or two cels and thus resold the rest. But ...

Re: Gallery Open For Offers

Hello all, I am placing my gallery back up for an offer period. I have just recently purchased a home/ moved into it/ remodeled a bathroom, and came to a revelation.....I have too much artwork and not a lot of storage space. :bawl So I really need to do some consolidating, and I hope you guys can h...

Re: Does anyone else cringe when they see this?

I tried to save those beauties with a bid too, zerospace ( I actually was hoping you had won it!) and lo and behold they show up on eBay a half week later under that guy's account. That seller does sometimes pop up cels that didn't appear on YJ! (probably local shops etc) but the markups are insane...

Re: Does anyone else cringe when they see this?

Thanks, guys! I'm SO glad that I'm not alone here! This seller has been bothering me for just about ever now, but this time it just really irked me, seeing that price on the Trowa cel. $499. And he'll probably put it on "sale" for 399. And some unsuspecting buyer will make him an offer for...

Does anyone else cringe when they see this?

So there's this seller on eBay that makes me cringe everytime I see his/her listings. If I'd have realized who the other bidder on YJ was, I would have bid higher just to prevent this from happening. (I was the 2nd highest bidder) :badass http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e160726636 And h...

Re: Seriously? Linkedin, facebook, & other annoying invites

One thing to remember about that stupid Linkedin is that it will invite ANYONE AT ALL with which you've had pretty much any contact. Also, it does it on it's own, without telling you it's doing it. I've gotten Linkedin invites from people who didn't even have an account with Linkedin anymore.... So...

Seriously? Linkedin, facebook, & other annoying invites

*Rant warning* I just got a rather annoying email from Linkedin... IN FRENCH from a member here whom I have openly disliked (and so have many others) in the past. I had to do a quick email search to confirm that the person is who I thought initially. iceman57 why on earth would I EVER want to conne...

Re: Is there any way to smooth out the creases on sketch ite

A simple way is to message the back side of the crease gently with something hard. I bought a bone bender from a library supply source for the purpose (it's made of bone, it doesn't actually bend people's bones). That is what librarians use to treat creased pages of books. It's not a fix, as the cr...

*tackle glomps Zerospace* You updated!!! SQUEE!! :bny :bny :bny :bny Okay on a more serious note, thank you for giving us the heads up so we can go drool over your lovelies! That Relena is lovely although I was never personally much of a fan of hers. It is quite striking, also Trowa is quite moody ...

Re: Lightning Updaters, Slow Updaters, and Black Hole Collec

But what really pushed me over the edge was when I had been extremely quiet with my gallery, that I received an email telling me what a horrible collector I was to sit on the items in my gallery and not caring for them. Since I hadn't updated in over a year, I obviously did not care about my collec...

Re: O...M...G. I updated!

Thanks for visiting, guys! Luna -- Gundam probably isn't for everyone, but thanks for taking a look :). Angelic-Lair -- The Trowa cel was probably my fav from this update :). Sometimes I actually scan stuff shortly after it arrives and then just wait to Photoshop/upload, and other times I just let s...

O...M...G. I updated!

So all this talk about scanning and being a black hole collector/slow updater, etc finally got me to do what I haven't done in 7 months -- SCAN and UPDATE. :rollin Not that I had a lot to update with, but 4 cels is 4 cels, I guess. Since I never post updates here anymore, here you all go: http://www...

Re: Sequence mates

Sometime around 2007-ish, a cel of Heero from Gundam Wing in an outfit I still needed popped up on YJ. It was a nice one, and I think it was either an A1 or an end. I bid quite a bit and lost. But, as luck would have it, about a year or so later, a sequence mate (not as nice, eyes closed) popped up ...
