Re: Help with Fushigi Yuugi shikishi authenticity
That is small for a shikishi. All of ours are larger. Repro shikishi exist. We have one. Sometimes the signature on them is real, sometimes not. The stamp in the lower right corner of yours indicates to us that it is likely a repro. In our limited experience, its hard to tell the difference between ...

Re: Some stuff for sale: CCS, X, Armitage, etc.
Added six new items today from Words Worth, Demon Coach, Photon, BGC 2040 and Gundam Wing as part of a recent gallery cleanup. Also, we wanted to mention that the contact form on our site is the best way to get in touch with us. It may take longer for us to reply to a PM or Rubberslug feedback. Than...

Re: Sailor Moon collectors...
You have to watch with the new bidding practices on Mandarake. You can only bid a certain amount at a time on certain auctions. The allowable amount changes as the price increases. Its quite difficult to follow, actually, but you likely just bid too high for the price bracket you were in at the time.

Some stuff for sale: CCS, X, Armitage, etc.
So we've got a few pieces up for sale on our site, some of them are from our collection, some of them are from our always growing sale pile. :) You can find them all here: http://angelic-lair.com/collection/sale1.htm We also will have a BUNCH of Queens Blade sketches available in the coming months. ...

Re: Sailor Moon collectors...
Congrats to everyone who was able to get something!!! It was truly an incredible BWA. :) We are still debating going after something (non Sailor Moon related) but its going to be a challenge. The ending times on these auctions were weird. Not so bad for us, as we are east coast(ish), but different f...

Re: What's with all the CCS Movie 1 Cels???
This seems to be the norm anymore. Many of the games/shows we've collected over the years came out in spurts. Usually the seller was smart enough to spread it out for weeks on end, a few pieces at a time. But once the art was gone, it disappeared as suddenly as it appeared, never to be seen again.

Great Trowa cel!
Every little bit of updating helps... at least that's what I try to tell myself whenever I'm putting one together.

Some really amazing artwork, but we feel bad for everyone's wallets.
Best of luck to anyone going after those beauties!

Re: This cel smells like my Grandma's house...?
It might just be trapped smell, especially since the bag was inadvertently sealed. We have had cels come from our deputy smelling heavily of cigarette smoke. It goes away when we let those cels air out for a week or so. You might have something similar going on.

Re: Kyoto Animation Warning
No worries, Gabe. Maybe it seemed silly because you've seen this type of thing before and were aware of it already? We haven't been to a con in nearly a decade, and this isn't something we were aware of. At all. That said, these things always seem to find their way out into the wild eventually, so i...

Re: Kyoto Animation Warning
Why you do this warning? They never sold originals. May you should had asked them before you bought those sets. Currently those kind of repro dougas are just normal since you can find them in the shops like Animate. Kyoto Animation is not the only Studio doing this. I saw some others as well on my ...

Re: Lightning Updaters, Slow Updaters, and Black Hole Collec
Things have changed over the years, that's for sure. :) We used to update pretty frequently when we first put our site together (way back in 2009). And now we're lucky if we get an update in every year! For us, its just a matter of a (reasonably) labour-intensive method of processing the artwork and...

Re: Advertising
Getting the word out at conventions is a great idea, JD!
Another quick and easy way to advertise would be for the active members here to put a link to Beta in the "links" section of their RS sites.

Re: Advertising
We understand what it is, Moop. It just seemed like an extra (possibly unnecessary) hurdle that might deter some people from taking part. It was just a suggestion,as was your idea of advertising. :) We'd be willing to help out if we can with the advertising idea if anyone is able to get something go...
