Re: What is the most amount of money you’ve spent on any production art?
This would likely be my single most expensive cel to date: http://tarakatsuki.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_info.asp?ItemID=443865 However I'm not one to state what I've paid for any particular item in my collection as that's nobody else's business but my own. All you need to know is that yes, I do fee...

Re: Question for those who Sell Cels ***
People are paying very high prices now, but if you're concerned it's too scammy, maybe just trust your gut and decline. Or if you do, be absolute sure to do everything properly with paypal, and keep record of proof of sending etc.

Re: Newbie Storage Question
That is what mine look like in the binder. The MC paper can go a few years before needing to be changed out. Most of my cels have been stored like this for years, and as I'm doing my annual inspection and rebagging, I'm seeing very few cels bags that are wrinkled. I store my original backgrounds in ...

Re: Newbie Storage Question
Unable to see the intended image, you would probably have to upload it to a free photo storage site or something and then put the link to it. Or I think there's another way to insert it in the post. Nothing wrong with how you're doing it. I've been putting my MC paper inside of the cel bag, with a p...

Re: Microchamber stuck to my cel
You don't need to wet the paper to remove it and destroy it...I've separated tons of sketches and cels and have the sketches intact, although sometimes you do lose a little bit of paper in some spots. If the sketch is too badly stuck then I just leave it. But I've had a lot that were lightly stuck a...

Re: Backgrounds , copy or painted
Some backgrounds you can just print here
There are backgrounds on eBay and probably YJ too I'm sure.
Also the cel collecting group on FB had a recent post on somebody who is offering to make commissions on backgrounds if you have a cel that needs one and you can't find it anywhere.

Re: Microchamber stuck to my cel
It's most likely regular paper and not microchamber paper. There are ways to try and remove paper if it's not too terribly stuck, in old posts here and on the FB group.

Re: Tempted to go for Naruto Genga | BWA
You can always just put in a maximum bid right before you go to bed. It's always best to wait until as late as you can, but if you have to do it a few hours before, could always be worth the shot. I myself forgot about the 10% fee when I won a BWA item lol. At least it wasn't all that expensive, but...

Re: Vinegar Syndrome have dones?
I personally wouldn't play guinea pig with my cels like that but if you want to give it a shot that's on you lol. There are some old posts on here and the FB group about CelOasis for treating cels with VS and possibly another company. I did send one cel to Cel Oasis for treatment last spring but of ...

Re: Tempted to go for Naruto Genga | BWA
There occasionally comes the nuisance called a "nibbler" bidder who will deliberately extend the bidding by placing the minimum bid repeatedly, working up to the high reserve bid a little at a time. OMG I HATE that. I really hate the way the auctions extend on YJ because of this. I too ag...

Re: Lightning Updaters, Slow Updaters, and Black Hole Collectors
I am definitely a slow updater. I don't see any reason it needs to be rushed. I do scan as soon as I receive something, and then from there I might upload it to my gallery in a day or a year. Who knows? These days I am preferring to wait and post something until after I have the scene identified.

Re: Buffered vs Unbuffered
1) To store items like this, is better a buffered interleaving paper between the mylar and the sketch? [I personally use archival-quality polyprophylene bags rather than mylar, as they are inexpensive and can be used for cels as well as paper goods.] I do not see that there is a need to put anythin...

I've only ever looked for it on Bags Unlimited. It's showing option to purchase.

Re: 2021 Year in Review & 2022 Cel/Sketch Resolutions
1. What was the best thing that's happened to your gallery/collection in 2021? I added a good bit to it. :D Both cels and non-cel items for my collection. 2. What was the most surprising thing that happened to your gallery/collection this year? I don't know, I don't feel like anything is necessaril...
