Re: 2016 Year in Review and 2017 Cel/Sketch Resolutions

1. What was the best thing that's happened to your gallery/collection in 2016? I managed to get so many wonderful items this year, but my "Banjo: The Woodpile Cat" cel is probably the best: http://www.cartoonedin.com/don-bluth-banjo-the-woodpile-cat It is the final frame in the short film...

Re: Best Scanners for Scanning Cels?

If you do end up scanning things in pieces, this: http://matthewalunbrown.com/autostitch/autostitch.html is an amazing application (just download the "free/demo version", it does everything you need). This image was scanned in 6 parts before I ran it through the autostitch application: sket...

Anything from David the Gnome or Mighty Max

I have seen a couple of items either in galleries or that have sold in the past from Mighty Max. I have never seen anything from David the Gnome. Every once in a while, someone will mislabel a cel from 'Gnomes' (a TV movie based on the same book as David the Gnome)... but that's really it. If anyone...

Re: Anime-Beta Annual Cel Contest 2016!!!

Can't wait! Would it be possible to add a 'model cel' category? There are things like color models that don't really fit in the Hanken category... but that's the only category where model cels seem to be permitted.

Re: Angelic-Lair.com 2016 update!

What a fantastic update! There are some very impressive pieces. You mentioned one of them having the the background glued to the backing board when framed. I am in the exact same situation now with a pan cel setup I purchased. I'm wondering what you did to get it into a more "preservable" ...

Can flaking paint be stopped?

Just received a new cel setup in the mail and one of the cel layers has a small amount of "bubbling" between the paint and the cel itself. So far there is only a tiny amount of paint loss, but I wanted to see if there's any way to stop any more from happening. My first thought would be som...

I would also participate. I have a cel or two I could donate to the cause if no one else does.

Wishlist Cel Acquired!

I'm a big Don Bluth fan. While there are some of his films that I focus on more than others, I've been trying to get at least a few things from each. Banjo The Woodpile Cat (a less than 30 minute long short and the first thing Bluth's company produced) is not one I have focused on... but I knew that...

I believe I heard it was back up for sale, but I don't have a link to it.

Warning about a new ebay seller with some dishonest listings.

There's a new ebay seller, animator818 (selling Muppet Babies cels at the moment), who is listing things in a dishonest way. Most of their listings say that they come with matching production backgrounds, but I make a habit of checking the scene (if possible) before purchasing cel setups with matchi...

Very cool. You have quite an array of art. I'm less familiar with a lot of anime than most people here, so I enjoyed seeing all the different styles.
