Okay so I got an interesting entry for Blood on the Ground my first instinct is to disqualify, but I would prefer to put it to the community as you will all be voting on this and I don't want to offend anyone.

So the entry has nudity in that breasts of dead woman are exposed and she is headless. Yes it definitely fits the blood on the ground, however there is exposed nipplage. While this does not offend me at all, I want to make sure everyone else is okay with it before I accept it.

Yes, it is close to the mark. Has the hallmarks of a winner because it is extreme but I totally understand if it's not acceptable because I appreciate this forum is open to all ages/dispositions. Having said that, "Blood on the Ground" isn't a family-friendly topic at the best of times, we can't pretend the character has spilt a bottle of ketchup... A hard call. Let the Betarians decide.

I'm not offended by that either. It's not like you're sticking hentai in there. If anything, I would think the violence should be the bigger concern, in regards to family friendly lol. Is there really anybody on here that young, that it would be an issue for them?

Updated again!!! ^_^ I can personally Save Background, Tomboy and Hanken; and MAYBE chibi although it would be skirting the rules cause it's a Chibi but not a superdeformed chibi in the traditional sense it is just the character design, but would love to see more entries into these categories, so I don't have to ^_^;; We need one more entry for a Novel setup, if someone else can come up with one I can come up with another! ^_^

Question... does anyone know who still has editing access to those sites? I had tried to find out a bit ago, but no one seemed to know. Scans of pieces I entered in the past are still up on those sites and I'd really rather the scans be removed from online. I'm not insanely bent out of shape about it, but I've been hesitant to participate in the contest knowing that the scans won't be removed once the contest is done.

We ran a couple of the contests, Drac. While I understand your concern, I feel it's important to have a record of what was entered in the past so folks can see examples of category entries as well as what won.

If your scans are up on a site that we did (2009 and 2010), feel free to message me to discuss it. ^_^

Maybe a disclaimer should be included in future contest years explaining that submitted scans become usable by contest organizers (assuming that's what folks want to do)?

The past contest sites are also a record for future contest organizers to stop anyone from double dipping or accidentally submitting something that has already won. While I am committed to doing the Cel contest for a while, I am turning over the sketch contest next year to someone else. While I might remember off the top of my head last years cel contest entries anything before that is a wash.
