Thank god I am not nuts. I don't think it could be the same seller. One is in Japan and the other in the US. But even if it were the same seller, what are they doing having the same cel for auction in 2 places!

They're actually both in Japan . . . but not in the same place, so it doesn't seem like it could be the same seller. Maybe it wasn't selling on YJ, so the seller got a friend to put it on Ebay? I don't follow SM auctions enough to know if this is true or not. Either way, it looks suspicious.
The sellers are in different prefectures, so it just all seems odd. Maybe I'll drop the YJ seller a line, since that's probably the real one, as he has the douga scan, too.
It says "For store sale product, please forgive it in the case of a sellout."
in the ebay one.
I've dealt with these before. They list the same item all over the place, and then if more than one person wins, they sell it to the higher bidder. Then they tell the other winners, "Sorry, it is out of stock from our store." and that's that.
I've complained to several companies about this practice. Lots of time, they take items they have on auction to conventions, and sell them there for big bucks, and then pull the "Sorry, out of stock.." trick on the auction winner.
It's really scammy. I detest it.

Ive seen people do this before. Post auctions on a different auction site before the original auction is sold on another auction site. Then they win the auction and sell them the cel, and make some profit on it. If they lose the cel, they cancel the auction. You can see this auction
i knew i had seen that second cel of sailor moon somewhere...(i was looking on ebay for SM cels earlier today). strange... at least you can avoid deputy service charges this way(if you are the higher bidder that is lol)
I agree. That is not fair to all bidders involved. If you put something up it should be available. Thanks for all the information, I am glad I wasn't just seeing double!

Thats what I was thinking, but I don't know how to approach the subject. I noticed tonight that someone is bidding on the cel on YJ. I wonder who will get it?!?

I think it's fairly straightforward? Just send them links to both auctions and say "hey, this is being sold in two places at once." It's most definitely against their rules.
Unless they've changed them to go along with the hideous new browse screens.
