I honestly cannot believe they are posting this...

Im starting to think, that maybe they think they actually have a chance at selling that stuff. Why in the hell would you WANT to pay ALL OF THOSE FEES for the hell of it?

Its freakin crazy!

As an afterthought I also noticed that the first item they have "sold" wasn't purchased with a buy-it-now price, they simply ended the auction...someone made a decision to purchase a $200 doll that quickly? And they chose to make an offer to close the auction early with a seller without feedback and selling other items listed at over 10k?!!!! What does she take us for! So sad and shameless!

Very true very true

I was thinking that the Nausicaa cel was a good price but when I looked at the real one on YJ the price isn't that different. Actually it is 50,000 yen on YJ:

$583 on eBay:

Not much money to make in such a risky business...after shipping costs and sellers fees...well I guess she is being a bit more intelligent with this auction. Sometimes I wonder why people like this don't just open up a deputy service?

They are actually only spending about $48 in listing fees for everything.

But if they sell...then they have final value fee. lol

It's an art print cel on auction on YJ:

I suppose they will have to cancel their ebay auction since there are bids on the YJ cel.

In all fairness the seller isn't crazy.. they are using it for advertisement. They know no one will buy it for that price (hell generally new collectors start off by spending a low amount of $ on there first cel and work there way up...) So even a new collector regardless knowing whats rare or not wouldn't buy the cels, a simple eBay search could get them results indicated the type of quality that goes for X dollars.

The auction fees are not that bad, I know recently they have a 33% or something discount on insertion fee. I know for a 2,000 dollar item + BIN (BIN jacks it up quite a bit) the listing fee costs around $8 (no discount). So I imagine that for 10,000 it would cost less then $10 (with no BIN) because the rate they charge is exponentially lower the higher you go up. Paying $10 for an ad for 7 days that reaches millions of individuals isn't a bad deal. What the seller wants is people to look at the auction (which people are).

Even if that's the case, the prices she chose to advertise them for is a little over the top. I could understand doing something like this and say, posting a cel maybe worth $200 for more like $400, but these multi-thousand dollar lots just make it look ridiculous.

I agree, however what they are hopping for is someone becomes interested in the auction and thinks "oh i;d like these cels... but at 50% the list price..." or less etc. They still would make a huge profit. Basically what they are shooting for is to make alot of money off the cels (way more then there worth) or not sell them at all. :shrug
