I've used wensy.com and loved it.....
I just bought some settei from there.....

What we can start doing is list stuff else where, and just post the link here, or wherever to advertise....I think that most of those places are free.....
Better then evil-bay.....
Honestly, I LOSE more listing than what I SELL....
And Paypal charges me like $2-$6 or maybe more per transaction, and when you add all those up...I think that Paypal has kept like $100 from me, then add the ebay fees and that's even higher....
Darn Money hungry SOBS....

So true, moonrabitt -- it wouldn't be so bad (the fees), if they were actually IMPROVING the service(s), but they aren't. The fees keep going up for sellers, and they make it easier and easier for buyers to stiff sellers with no consequences.

The problem with listing your stuff elsewhere and just posting here is that there is a huge number of buyers that only seem to be on eBay... reaching them anywhere else is very very difficult. If artwork people want to move to other sites, I think we should advertise it on our eBay pages (e.g. your 'about me' page, where its legal to do so). A community-wide effort might just make a bit of difference, at least for artwork sales.

I moved a lot of my stuff over to Ecrater, but I consider myself lucky if I get a buyer once every 3 months. It's very slow business -_-; I don't know if creating a specific website would help, as the stuff I sell isn't exactly rare.

Great!

Do you think we can all agree to list on Ioffer.com or Ecrater.com or Wensy.com?

The Cel community is pretty small and if even half of us move to Another Auction site... It'll cut Ebay's Cel listings by 20-30%!

And once we get started eventually we can be Ebay Free?

I'm pretty sure we could use Google checkout, checks, and money orders on the other sites.

I'd put up some cels and sketches on another site if we can decide which site to support!

I'll do everything I can to help!!! Image

There are so many sellers on feeBay that aren't members of a-b or RS tho.
And how would we approach them without sounding like paid promoters for the sites?

After we decide... I'll advertise on google...

E-bay is big, but not anywhere as big as google... Image

Give me a about 7 days and I'll have it all over Google.... Where to buy Anime Cels... Image

I'm leaning towards

ioffer
AtomicMall
ecrater

We simply ignore the Sellers on Ebay... They keep paying the fees and we pay nothing... Google Advertising will bring them.

If you search google for Xenosaga Cel or Xenosaga Sketch...

You'll get my website... www.moeoverload.com

I've taken it down for maintenance... but I've only advertised it for about a week... and I'm already on the front page of google. Image

I'm confident that I can do the same with "Ah My goddess Cel", "DragonBall Cel", "AnC Cel", "Jurassic Tripper Cel" etc... Image
