Hold on, I guess I missed something. So sellers on eBay have to accept paypal now? @_@
Buyers AND sellers both! :tongue They do that so itll pile up the fee's (they say they do it for both parties "protection" but from what ive heard when someone can just reverse the paypal payments, thats totally fishy).
when i sold ten items on ebay just recently (mind you, almost all were under $25 that i sold them for and the one that sold the highest was just $70), i had $40 in fees!!!! 8O :splat
so im never selling on ebay again.
Yes, the last thing I listed on Ebay was that copy of the Warcraft BC collector's edition and when I was listing it, I used my usual old Ebay listing template which I keep saved. I cut and paste it in and go to continue and it tells me that it sees I've offered to accept money orders which are a "banned" form of payment. (It must be searching the text for "money order".) My only options for accepting payment are Paypal -- or a couple other utterly unheard of online payment services with which I definitely wasn't going to screw around.

The item sold for about $79 and, once all was said and done, the fees (between final value and Paypal) amounted to over $8...... over 10% of what I got for selling the thing. So yeah, I've washed my hands of Ebay. I refuse to sell there and do everything I can to not BUY from Ebay anymore either because if there are no buyers, people are discouraged from selling. If more people refused to sell OR buy there, it would effect Ebay's bottom line and that is the only way to get them to change what they're doing.
