Deputy Service ?

Post by yota999 »

Since i live in Europe, i can't bid on eBay.com auctions that are shipped only within united states.

I usually use service deputy like Rinkya/SMJ or others for yahoo auctions. I would like to know if there were a deputy service like that for eBay ?

Thanks ;)

I've often thought this would be a good idea. I think I Googled it once and didn't come up with anything. If anyone knows of one, I'd appreciate the info also. Have come across some real anal sellers recently with regards to not shipping outside the US.

you could try asking rinkya/smj if they'd bid for you on ebay auctions. i can see nick maybe saying yes to that more then the people at rinkya but you never know. you could also ask midori. as well as celga.

That wouldn't work, because the majority of those people are also living internationally. X| Nick from SMJ might but he is pretty busy with the YJ deputy as it is. It's been a while since SMJ even accepted orders from Japanese websites.

There are some services that sell stuff for you on Ebay, but I've never seen anything that will buy for you. Probably because it's not a problem for me. :?

Well, due to the lack of response, I think we can assume there are no such deputies. I sense a business venture or at least side-line job for a US resident. ;)

i've actually played deputy service for a few international friends before, and yes, I have on several occassions thought about making that a business venture.. but i'm too stupid to know how, and too poor to start it up. :P

I pmed/emailed Yota back about it since I don't mind occasionally doing things like that. I didn't think anyone else would be interested. I know that sometimes, people over at animeondvd.com ask people they know in the US for that kind of help with sometimes getting mail-in goodies for R1 releases.

Update: Just found out Celga do Ebay deputy bids. Hope they don't mind me mentioning it here but I suppose I'm just drumming up more business for them. ^_^ Yay! No more annoying "we don't ship international" sellers!

I've actually helped out someone from Canada for an Ebay transaction that would only ship to the US. Actually, I think it was on this board that I helped the person! ^_^ I don't mind doing it again especially to help out those that really want a certain auction (we all know that feeling), and the person was really happy to get the item for their sister (I believe it was a birthday present).

It was a lot of fun, plus I think if you have reliable feedback and trust, there shouldn't be any issues. I definitely don't mind helping out again! ^^
