Ebay Scams?

Post by MDKiller1 »

Hello

I was wondering if anyone else was having trouble with this. In the past week ive had 2 ebay members use buy it now on my items that had 0 feedback.

One user bought over 610 dollars worth of stuff and this is the address I got from them when sending an invoice (I saw the address and didnt send it..looks pretty fake to me)

dfgdf dfgdg
dgdfg
dfgdfg
Singapore 161452
Singapore
68545245

The other person bought 65 dollar worth of cels an hasnt paid an its been almost 10 days. An they have a normal looking address so I wont post it.

I really needed to sell the cels they "bought" we are trying to pay some huge vet bills.

My main questions is..has this been happening to anyone else? Or is it just someone in the cel world that doesnt like me so they are making up fake ebay id's and doing this? Is there anything I can do about it?

Please let me know
Thanks
Dee

For the second person you can file a UPI against them. Once the UPI is closed you can get your fees back and relist.

For the first one message them and ask about the address. If the address is not in the USA I'd have them pay with a money order because Paypal won't protect you.

With the new ebay rules... she may not have a choice in this matter. You know ebay... always out there to protect the victims *cough* i mean buyers *cough*. bullshit. This is exactly why I am doing everything possible NOT to sell on ebay.

Hey all

Well I emailed the person that is 10 days late on the payment. Ive emailed them 2 times within the past 7 days and havent heard anything back from them. So im going to give them 1 more day then file a Non-paying buyer on them.

As for the other person I have emailed them and havent heard anything back either. Should I send them an invoice? Im just worried about getting hacked. I dont know if I should relist the item or not. Ebay fees are stacking up.

My ebay account was hacked a few months back, and my shipping address was changed to something similar to the fake addy you were given, although I don't remember the country listed.

I've never sold on ebay, so I have no idea what to do, except to file a non paying bidder report.

Sorry ebay sucks so much :(

Well I did have someone that did not pay for the three digit item that s/he bought for me  And then it happened again....the third time it sold (but those addresses looked real...but then again, it's easy to just make a false address, but the person that did it to you was not trying to hard to make it real ^^; (so maybe you could email ebay and tell them that the address does NOT exist)
Sadly, you have to wait for the 7 days, file a non-payer form, and then follow the instructions, then re-sell.
-I hope it does not happen to you again!
-good luck!!!!!!!!!!

yeah pretty much file a non-paying bidder report. Its the only protection sellers have left basically with the new ebay rules.

I don't know if you have ever been on Live Chat on eBay, but it is the only way I have ever been able to find out anything or get my account fixed. I tried everything for weeks and got it fixed in ten minutes on Live Chat
