I have always been satisfied with all of my ebay purchases, but as they say all good things come to an end. I recently wont a cel on ebay. I asked the buyer about paint loss as there appeared to be, and they said it was only the flash. OK so i bid and won. HOWEVER... upon arrival the cel was creased in multiple spots and the bottom right corner had been cut off. None of these flaws were mentioned and I probably should have asked like usual but I didn't (guess I got too comfortable). I asked for a refund and haven't herd back yet so I wont be airing this person on the forums as they may accept it. Just had to get this off my chest because i'm livid. Any advice or others who've been burned by this lately...? ...misery loves company

Did you pay through Paypal? If you did you can probably file a dispute claiming the item was not as described. Paypal usually sides with the buyer...

yeah LL, I'd be hot too, Trinity is right, if you don't get any reasonable
response from the seller file with Paypal [item not as described]
it is the seller's responsibility to honestly represent their items, and that
doesnt seem to be the case here, keep us posted!!

Not to defend crappy selling practices, but you asked about paint loss and not about damage in general. Now, personally... I think a listing should mention the kind of damage you're describing, but if you asked a specific question and the seller answered that specific question, you can't 100% blame the seller for that. Should the seller have disclosed the damage to the cel in the description? Heck yes. If the seller stated "excellent condition" or something like that and it arrived the way it did, you definitely have a legitimate complaint. If the seller described the cel as being in damaged condition, but did not explicitly state the damage -- that's a little more in the gray.

I also think that if I were the seller, I would require you to return the cel to me for a full refund, as you do not deserve a free cel simply because you are unhappy with its condition. In your case, I'd probably offer you a partial refund or return the cel for a full one. But that's just me.

good point, I certainly wouldnt expect to keep the cel AND get a refund too, the world just doesnt work like that, it all depends on how the seller described the cel in the listing, if the damage [like the creases] was mentioned or if the impression implied was "excellent condition"

Finally heard back from the seller. They are giving me a refund only because they have another offer on it. Still happy with this outcome though so I can;t complain. I'll lose out on the shipping and the cost of shipping ti back but I will be getting the refund of the items price. Thanks for the input!
