Deputy Anime Title Links

Post by Keropi »

Could someone please give me the Rinkya and SMJ anime title YJ links if they exist?

I know Rinkya used to have a big anime link list before. Does Rinkya or SMJ have one now? I couldn't find any. Do they have a new way of looking things up or do you have to input all the search information yourself?

It's not because I need the links per se (although some of them would be handy to see if there are alternate ways of looking stuff up). I'd like to see them more because I enjoy knowing what titles people have requested and it's nice knowing WHEN the links debut too. :^^:

I doubt whether anyone would save pages of such links, Keropi. It might be best of you hop between a few of the deputies and compile your own reference list.
To get you started, Caroline mentioned the Rinkya page, there's also:
http://www.celga.com/cels.html [although this is a fairly old list]

The best way to make your own specialist list is to start with a general browse in the 'All Cels' category.
Once you find something you like, copy the title given by the seller as this will include the series name [in most cases]. As you know, they rarely include the anime's title in the description so you have to refer to the main auction titles each time for the most pertinent information.

So you need lazy links to the lazy links? :D Seriously, I agree that the SMJ list is a little hard to find. I had to click through most of the sidebar links to find it after I signed up.

Main SMJ search & link page:
http://www.shoppingmalljapan.com/advsearch.html
SMJ cels by series:
http://www.shoppingmalljapan.com/auctionsearchcels.html

I don't think Rinkya has a list either...the closest I can get is a pre-made search.

In the MyRinkya section I have certain catagories saved for quick searches of series I mainly collect but I also have the search link Cels All Series which will bring up all 4000+ cels and gengas on YJ at any time.

To add to the list, here is Anime Dep. list of links:

http://www.animedep.jp/yah_list_cel.htm

It is old too, but has some different shows.

Good luck. :)

Ah okay cool! From there all I have to do is hit "List All Search Engine Items" and I can see all the categories.

Thanks! If I go to "Anime Item Search" and "Anime Cels" that's two lists. :D

I'll bookmark that also. Thanks!

Like I said earlier, these links are good to know in case there are alternate ways of looking up titles I'm missing. But the main reason I asked was because I was wondering what titles people have requested.

If there are links there to some unpopular shows I'm looking for that's fun knowing. And WHEN the link shows up, that's nice knowing as well (sometimes they appear after the R1 DVD comes out).

Having these quick links is a good idea and I'm concerned that the deputies don't have a comprehensive list.

I know it takes a little time to set up each link and deputies are accomodating when you ask them to add one, BUT they would get more business if customers can already click the links to their favourite shows without having to write emails then wait some time whilst it's added to the database.
When we're on the web we want everything instantly. If we have a complete and contemporary searchable database, it would help us find what we want and would undoubtedly increase the number of impulsive purchases and reel in the newbies eager to discover what the Japanese auctions can supply.

When I requested a link, I think it took a month or two before it appeared on the site.
Whenever I search for other particular series, the link is very rarely displayed and I don't want to repeat the process of submitting one link at a time.
On the other hand, if I created an email asking for 30 new links to be added, they'd probably bin my message because they have other jobs to do.

It's better to make your own links Krafty so that it's harder for people to find your STUFFS. :D

So true Keropi.

Since I don't collect from many different shows that is what i've done.

I use the dep. links for checking out MSN and Wanted auctions and as a safeguard.

I work this problem in a slightly different way: Cut and paste.

I use ANN to grab kanji/kana titles, move them to a notepad file, notate for what they are, and save them.

When I surf YJ, I keep the wordpad open, and cut and paste the titles in. I usually portal in through Celga, and use the all cels list. When titles are put into the search line from there, it only searches cels unless you change the little dropdown menu next to it. It is already set to "search this catagory".

It saves time when searching for things like " 円盤皇女ワるきゅーレ ", aka UFO Princess Valkyrie.

Plus, only you know what you're looking for....

What do you guys do when you're away from home and you still need your YJ links?

I save my most important YJ links to e-mail so I access my links from there. The stuff I'm looking for doesn't appear much on deputy link lists. That's the only method I've been able to come up with. :?

You have to be able to get to your YJ links FAST when you're paying for online access.

Most places I check out are posted on the links page in my Rubberslug gallery. As a help to others... but more importantly for myself when I'm away from my home computer! :dgrin

OH! The other good reason to have a YJ ID account, you can post auctions (watch) to your YJ ID page.

Tomorrows helpful hint will be how to remove ball-point ink from a shirt. :bounce
