I sometimes wish people were more logical like robots.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Always!

But seriously, I love Paypal.
It allows me to buy things and pay for them internationally
It offers me a way to receive payments internationally
It gives me the chance to sell my art work internationally
and the 4% fee beats those horribly expensive Money Orders (that I can not accept anyway) any day!

Uen-chan, do you get charged a huge banking fee for Money Orders, like they do in Japan? I know it's not really relevant to the discussion, but I was just curious ... and wanting to learn something new.Uende wrote: But seriously, I love Paypal.

As for Paypal, I really love their service, too. Although, I have to admit they are not very customer-friendly. I have had this situation arise, too, both as a seller and as a buyer. On the buying side, I was pretty irritated with myself, but it worked out OK. I contacted the sellers, and they did a refund of one of the payments. On the selling side, I did the same thing as Shells, and did the "one button click" refund.

Sorry. Guess I should have posted something more helpful in my initial post, but I was typing with my two-year-old tugging on my sleeve because she wanted to watch Howl's Moving Castle ... so all I could manage to get out was a "good luck" post.

I once sent a payment of $ 200.- with a money order.
The cost alone to send the darned thing was $ 30.- and on top of that I had to pay the exchange rate

Nowadays, I'm not even sure money orders still excist here in Holland, but I sure can't accept them.
And with all the electronic banking and internet payment choices we have, who needs them.
I hate Money Orders
