heres something my mom once said many years back. "if something you want really badly comes around wait a while, if its gone then wait a little while more, then maybe something just like it or better will come along."
All great discoveries are made by mistake-the laws of murphy

Then the Dean repeated the mantra that has had such a marked effect on the progress of knowledge through the ages.
'Why don't we just mix up absolutely everything and see what happens?' he said.
And Ridcully responded with the traditional response. "It's got to be worth a try,' he said

aww... this has happened to me once, only it was an auction that ended with "buy it now". i have a love/hate relationship with the "buy it now" option. i know a few collectors, myself included, that are beginning to keep a distance from the hobby. for me, i am in some debt and feeling greedy, so those are 2 good reasons to take a break (i am truly trying....) plus my bunny is sick, and has medical bills. :l (if anyone wants to help me out, please make an offer on my cels. i am selling some of my newer TLU cels to help pay for my bunny's medicine and care. i am grateful to those that have already made offers...thanks.)

If this hobby calls for anything it requires the acceptance that you lose out on occasion (sometimes MANY occasions!) I tried without success for YEARS to find high-quality opening cels from TnN, for example. I lost out on so many, it was frustrating! Then I ended up buying most of my cels from one person all in a short period of time, and at afforable prices. You just don't know what might crop up. Hopefully you will get over your disapointment soon, and I'm sure something else that you greatly desire will appear. It can really hurt to lose out on a major item, but competition seems to be a major part of this hobby. You might want to take a break and find other things to occupy your time, but I have to admit, I once got over a major collecting loss by buying this:

I had been hesitating about buying it for almost a year. Now I can't even remember what I lost to spur me to get it! It has become one of my absolute favorite cels and one of the gems of our collection.
