It was translated as "Rumi" but I'd like to know what the characters mean.

The first one means stop, cease, or remain in.

I'm pretty sure that the second one means beautiful. That's why it's used in so many female names. I'll double check real fast.

Yep, the second one means beautiful. It's a very odd kanji, though. The way that you have it written is wrong. On the other hand, the stroke order is a little strange, so based off of computer type, I would have written the darn thing the same way.

Here's a little something I whipped up in paint to show what I mean by strange stroke order. Forgive the messiness, I can't smoothly operate my laptop mouse for the life of me. :emb

Another strange thing about this kanji is that "mi" isn't even technically a pronounciation--the kunyomi is "utsuku" and the onyomi is "bi." However, when you see it used in a name, it is almost always pronounced "mi." Go figure. :P

Please tell me the correct answer.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

So, um, it means "Stop the beauty"? :rollin
As in, I can't take it anymore, or I'll just puke?
Or as in, she stole my purse?
Or, quit being so beautiful?

OK I'll try not to do being so beautiful so much.

It says: Rumi.

I think it is somepne's name......

BTW, the first kanji is the same as my Ru :)

Edit: Sorry, I should read more carefully :P :P Yeah Ru means storing something. Mi means beautiful :)
