For something newer I highly recommend the band Ellegarden. They are a japanese rock group but they sing alot of english songs. They remind me of Blink 182.

There are alot of older anime/jpop mp3's on my computer that I collected between 1996 and 1999 so now when I get bored of those I usually listen to Japan-a-Radio instead.

My most favorite artists have to be Hikaru Utada and Deen. It's tough to decide which particular songs I like the most though.

My whole freaking 6 gb ipod is my playlist. Too many songs to list. I don't know a lot of the songs on kaminari's list, so I don't know what to suggest. My favorite Japanese singers for the past couple of years are Natsukawa Rimi, Moriyama Naotaro, and The Boom. In fact, I should be getting Natsukawa Rimi's newest CD in a month or so. I love her voice.
