Making a cel?????

Ok so today we had a special art teacher come in school to teach us about animation. Everything was going great untill just before she left she said we have untill the end of the week to created your own original animation cel with the provided equipment. Now I am asking anyone that is good at fan cels and I want to know can you give me some tips or guidelines on making a cel because I suck at drawing. I know it sounds like fun but the thing is I want to do it but I just need help.
