Meteor shower tonight!

Post by Sugarflower »

I was happy to run across this article onMSN tonight. I always fall asleep and miss any meteor shower I wait for to happen. But not tonight by golly! I'm going to make myself stay up tonight for this one!

I'll try to see if I can see any before I go to sleep.

Once I could see a number of meteors (two or five a minute) before midnight even though I live on a major boulevard with a lot of lights around me. But it'd have to be a decent quality shower for that to happen.

It's not cloudy here (yet).

When? What does it look like?

I was really looking forward to seeing the shower but there is to much lighting around here (stupid neighbors) plus our friend has blocked our car in the driveway so we can't leave to find a darker location for viewing. :l

Tonights the best night due to the new moon. I hope we can catch something tomorrow night.... if I remember..... X|

I looked shortly before going to sleep (11:50PM PDT) since I had to go to work early today, but I didn't see any meteors either.

Apparently the meteors weren't bright enough and/or active enough for me to catch any from my light polluted area here. :P
