Later the moon darkened down and the bright edge became dark. But even during totality I could barely catch any orange color. The moon remained rather easy to see in the sky. So overall this felt like a fairly average total lunar eclipse appearance-wise - it wasn't too dark or very bright, but somewhere in the middle.

Someday I'll buy a digital SLR and be able to take REAL digital pictures of such things.
