The Isis puzzle

Post by eddiefb3 »

Hey everyone,

Another random topic! I was browsing the Sharper Image when I found this

Image

http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catal ... __SW700SIL

Pretty cool lookin' huh?

I read more about it and it is supposed to be the hardest puzzle in the world to solve. Each one is hand made out of alluminum. And no two puzzles are the same. Something about lining up the egyptian Heiroglyphs on the outside.

To solve the puzzle you have to open the ball(reminds me of that thing from treasure planet) and inside there is a secret code that you go back to its website and then you get another puzzle(online one i think) where you can win prizes and learn locations of treasures hidden in major cities.

Sounds pretty darn cool!!! The only thing stopping me from getting one is the $200 price tag.......

So does anyone have one of these things? Or maybe even solved it?? or maybe wants to get me one for Christmas :D
This world is not beautiful ~ therefore it is.

I assume this puzzle was made by a couple of English guys because last year they were featured on the TV programme 'Dragon's Den' whereby inventors seek out financial backing and pitch their business proposals to a group of 5 wealthy businesspeople.

I don't believe they received any support from the Dragons but they already had a range of these toys/puzzles for sale in certain stores and mail order catalogues.
It's a nice idea for a toy and the 'hidden prize in various cities' concept sounds brilliant.

Speaking for myself, if I couldn't figure it out within 10 minutes I'd chuck it away because I don't have the patience for these things! LOL
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
