Why can't a horoscope ever read, "Today you are going to be showered with expensive gifts, and you will win the lottery"?
Libra's Horoscope for today (according to My Yahoo!):
Summon up your flexibility at the start of today -- it will come in handy as you are faced with lots of unexpected (yet friendly!) obstacles. Some of your plans may have to get cancelled altogether in order to make way for a bigger opportunity. Romantic goals are going to be blown away when you overhear a comment that forces you to re-evaluate everything you thought you wanted in a partner. It sounds heavy, but really it's just a positive change of heart.
Why doesn't this sound like a great day to me?

A few years back I opened a fortune cookie that read "You will have a good appetite." not something I wanted to read while dieting.
Then there's the one I keep on my fridge which reads "You should be able to make money and hold on to it." yeah I know... damn cels, lol.

Not me personally however my mom a few years back was eating at this Chinese restaurant and when she opened her fortune cookie it said something like "May you burn in the fiery pits of hell" along those lines.. She was furious and when she confronted the manager he was so sorry he gave her a new fortune cookie and gave her a voucher to eat there free next time.
Apparently he said they have two bins of good and bad fortune cookies and they mixed it up.
As far as myself... apparently this is my horoscope for tomorrow:
"You become something of a celebrity, at least temporarily. People you don't know, or don't know well, stop to say hello or to congratulate you on some recent coup. Enjoy it while it lasts -- business settles down soon."

I think there might be a few exception.
The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I use Tarot.com as my daily horoscope provider. ^_^ I just thought I'd recommend it incase anyone's interested since it seems pretty accurate, even though these kinds of things are often generalised to fit a wide body of people. They tell you your Sun Sign, Moon Sign and Rising Sign based on certain information like the exact time you were born, etc.
If you sign up, they'll usually give you a free online tarot reading on your birthday also. I was sceptical at first but I did one this year and it actually really related to my current situation.
Part of today's Libra horoscope (*is also a Libra* ^_^) reads, "Trust is a vital issue now, so steer clear of emotional manipulation."
So we shouldn't manipulate anyone today... that just takes the fun out.

You don't need to enter your personal info (name and email), but you absolutely do need to enter your birth date, birth time and location accurately.
Then you just submit, and it has a knack for being Very accurate. But I think you need a small understanding of the basics of Astrology (which is all I actually know about the subject). For instance the idea that the further away the planet is the less impact it has on the whole.
In my experience (I've done this on a lot of people), the Rising Sign, North Node, Sun, and Moon are usually pretty accurate.

My Horoscopes are rarely accurate. Usually to get the best results I have to mix both Capricorn and Sagitarius since I was born on the Cusp of Capricorn and I hold traits from both signs. I read that from this Astronomy book. Actually my due date was 12/21/1980 however I ended up being seven day late and born 12/28/1980 which I guess is like a lucky birth number or something.
Someone once told me if I had been born 12/21/1980 it would've been the day after John Lenon was killed and the last day that Jupiter was the ruling planet for the year. But when I was born on 12/28/1980 Saturn was the ruling planet and with 12/28/80 having contained consecutive repeating numbers (there are two 2's, and two 8's right next to each other) it's a powerful good sign. I have yet to see that for myself.
I have always felt like I have two sides of me one that's Sag and one that's Cap I know that sounds crazy
but it does reflect my personality. When I'm in Sag mode I want to be in very crowded places with lots of people and life because I love people. 
I like to listen to people and anything boring is worse than death to me. 
However when I'm in Cap mode I want to withdraw from people. I want to concentrate only on getting my work done and then chilling out alone afterwards. I just feel like the only person I can depend on is myself. 
I'm creative in writing stories/poems but on the otherhand I have always wanted to be a famous singer. I have never been good at deciding between two things. Like voting, what I want to be, what is my favorite color (purple and blue), pro or con, pestimist or optimist (I'm more of a rationalist/realist), etc.

I think it's fun to check out what "the stars say" about people. It's an interesting idea when it comes to personalities, but I don't actually believe that one can tell the future by reading the stars.
None the less, I still read them.
This is the one for today... I think the hit the nail on the head with this one (well it is the holiday season/shopping time so I guess it can be true for lots of people):
Oops! Looks like you've sprung a leak today -- a financial leak, that is. There's some money going out and you don't know where it's going. Check through recent billing statements, as there's a chance that something has been overlooked. While you're in 'edit' mode, look for areas in your life where you can trim back -- and not just monetarily. Spread out your attentions and make an effort to catch up with someone outside of your main circle of friends.
