C'mon... how can you be so apprehensive about wanting to see more of the Zapper?

Caroline wrote:i got a slightly different vibe from the new episodes as well when i saw them originally. each year fox tries to push the satire envelope more and more, ever since the adult animation boom. it tends to become a headache for the crew. so that could be one reason. still, i am glad to see the series back for the time being.
You know I thought about what you said. There isn't as much comedy in these episodes. Well, Futurama was never really funny all the time like Family Guy but these episodes are a bit more serious. But when you watch them all, it makes sense and has an ending that fits the show.

Oh I totally agree - nothing like some good champagne and all, but the man himself drives me crazy. Poor poor Kif. :l

I already saw it back in November, I think it was just lucky timing that I caught it, cut up into episodes, on Comedy Central :D

I like it, but I feel like some small yet key element is missing. I don't know what it is.

"It" refers to be one reason, I think.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Personally, I've always found Futurama to be a lot funnier than Family Guy. The timing is just much better. Family Guy's jokes go on a bit too long to be funny to me.

Of course, I was raised on Matt Groening humor, so . . . :D

I see what BF is saying, though. Family guy tends to go for the joke more often than Futurama. Futurama ties their jokes in with a storyline, which means their jokes tend to be more punctuated. Family guy is Rodney Dangerfield, while Futurama is Lenny Bruce.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

movie wasn't as good as the series, but they are rusty and will need some warming up. i have faith they will be able to get back to tv level in a bit.
