What is most hilarious to me, is that he was So Bothered by the loss of his avatar that he called the police!
I'm so happy that I'm not stuck on some variety of virtual world.

I saw that when it first showed up comcast news and was cracking up. Based on the title I figured someone got distraught and went to the guys house and did him in, but then read the story and....well.....I felt so normal afterwards. :rollin

I know hacking is illegal, but to arrest the woman & drag her 620 miles across the country for a trial seems a little much. And she could go to jail for 5 years to boot!

I realize that there are a lot of definitions as to what constitutes hacking, but he gave her his ID and password. In order to revoke authorization, all he had to do was change them - but he didn't. So did she actually break into the system? :?

Uh. She wants that information kept confidential.

1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

That is a very good point Moop. I guess we'll see what the courts say.

What ever happened to one person meeting another in real life, falling in love with them, and then killing them in a jealous rage? I miss the old days.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.
