How much did it cost?

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
-I, Robot (Asimov)
Well, I just got home after 14 hours, and agree that Tom & Jerry led me to believe that mice like cheese! No mouse liked my brie. However, I invested in some peanut butter so hopefully I will see some results.
I don't even know if the mouse is in my house. I actually live in a house that is divided into three apartments. The mouse ran towards the corner that I share with my neighbor (I only share about 5 feet of wall). If I hadn't SEEN the mouse, I wouldn't have known that I had mice - there has been no evidence.
As for a cat - I would love one! However, my SO of 12 years is very allergic so I can't.
I'm afraid my fish and newts are just not quite into hunting mice. I can see one of my newts now, stalking a mouse -slowly- then nosing it about before swallowing whole.

We had a mouse in our home once, my family loves and rescue animals so people are always dropping off all kinds of animals at our house
(we’re like a zoo at the moment we have 6cats 3dogs 1bird 1snapping turtle and 1beta yah you probably think I’m crazy
) we most of the time keep them and take care of them so naturally we tried to catch it and give it a good home (using *edit* homemade sticky pads
). Me and my mom also rescued baby mice before we have had just about every animal you can imagine

The eek factor - mousy mystery solved
Let me tell you a little story…
Back in July, my SO and I were moving to Ohio. We got many of our possessions moved there (including my cels) and then the house burned – well, the upstairs anyway. As many of you know, I lost my cels and many other items I still regret losing. My sanity was one of them.
Well, my marbles. I did find a few of them in the grass outside of the window that everything was dumped out of.
Needless to say, we stopped moving into that uninhabitable house and were parked in our residence for an unhappy month and a half. At the end of which, we had to get separate apartments ‘cuz I failed to get a job in Ohio. Don’t worry, we’re still together and we see each other every weekend.
As Cloud would say, “Enough about me, let’s talk about my dress.” So, in the hurry-scurry of moving to separate abodes, my SO packed up some of the pantry, and stuck it in a box and moved it to my place. I didn’t even notice… However, our little mousy friends had. I was sitting around, not grading, and heard this scratching noise – kinda sounding like tearing paper. I snuck into the kitchen and noticed a once opened but ignored large box had these sounds coming from it. I managed to get it outside. I never did see the mouse get away, but I hope it got away outside. I’m sure it will find its way back here.
Now that the buffet is gone, maybe I’ll catch me a mouse!! How often should I refresh the peanut butter? Maybe I should add ramen noodles as the mouse sure seemed to love them (in that box).
