Trying to find a place to juggle
There is currently no active juggling club in Houston. I'm trying to find a way to rectify this. I don't mind organizing one, but I'm having a heck of a time trying to find someplace to meet. I don't want to meet outdoors, both because it's way too hot for half the year and I don't like being at the mercy of wind and rain. What I really need is a gymnasium. So far I've tried the YMCA, JCC, Parks and Rec dept., and I even called Gallery Furniture to find out if their indoor tennis court was available (it is gone because of the fire). So far I've been told that there isn't time and/or space. I'm trying to think of where else I can ask. I don't know if I can ask a church with a gym if I'm not affliated with them. Same thing with sports clubs, besides I don't think they would appreciate me bringing a bunch of non-members in. I imagine that public school gyms close pretty early so the custodians can go home, besides I don't know if they'd want a bunch of adults - would be different if it were a student club. I'm just trying to think of somewhere else to ask. Do any of you have any ideas? Anything is fine, doesn't matter how weird. Just brainstorming, you know.

try asking a school if they are availible on the weekends. for awhile a school down the street (again on the weekends mind you) had church services at the (public) school gym. the janitor came in to open the doors and stayed for a few hours till they left and he locked the doors behind them.
I think they rented though (since they had to pay the janitor to come in of course).
