I didn’t recognize his name…then when I clicked the article I was instantly struck by the familiarity of that ‘Death Dealer’ painting. I think I had a set of trading cards of his artwork as a kid.
Yeah Frazetta was an amazing artist. As I recall, one of his professors handed him an anatomy book when he was a kid. He returned it the next day and said, "Thanks!" and just knew anatomy after that.
Damn impressive, though he also sounded a bit arrogant in general.
Man I saw this in the papers, what a shame. Did he do the character illustrations for some of the Forgotten Realms games on the PC? Just they look alot like his style of work.
