Yep, thanks for that warning Marie. I get fake Paypal and Ebay emails avery day and it can be misleading when a couple appear to be genuine.
There was one instance when the REAL Paypal did contact me via email as my account was temporarily suspended (for selling adult DVDs on my website, the same problem Mandarake has). I didn't click on the email link in case it was bogus but logged into the website to check things and I got the same warning there with info on how to proceed.
So as Kymaera suggests, if you're concerned ALWAYS visit the site directly and don't click an email link. Just clicking a link is bad enough because it makes the sender aware that your email addy is legit and in use. They'll continue sending this spam when they know it'll be read.
"Paypal" email scam!! Be very very careful

I guess I've been very lucky, because I have never gotten one of these emails.
*knocks on wood*
I probably just jinxed myself, though.
Anyhow, thanks, Shamps, for the reminder that these schemes are out there, and alive and well. You really do have to be careful of the pitfalls and snares waiting for you out there on the 'Net.

Really? Yes I always have to be careful of the pitfalls and snares waiting for you out there on the 'Net.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
