Well the big advantage to having poor or nearly pointless eyesight is, as the Evil one mentioned in another thread, that the house always looks clean! "Dust? I don't see any dust!" (Remind me to take my glasses off when I get home. I can justify not cleaning this weekend if I can't see it.)

I have to echo the cries of "coolness" here. That is going to be one darned interesting eye!

All I can add is to repeat my sense of awe that you work in such a visual field -- and have such visual hobbies -- in spite of having less than 20/20 vision. And that you're always so upbeat about it

Does all this mean that the surgeries have come to a stopping point? *hope, hope*

Oh, and btw. *cough cough* PUDGY? MIDDLE AGED? No, nonononono, my dear, you have a way to go on several fronts there before you reach that particular pigeonhole!

Arigatou arigatou! I'm so glad everyone else thinks it's as cool as I do, heehee! I am absolutely counting the days until it's finished! Of course, you know there'll be some doofus out there who'll flip me crap for not wearing it in the same eye that Pride does, not like I have a choice, heh. But ya know, I'm just not really that worried.

I have to admit to being even more of a dorky goofball than you already suspect, though. The FMA eye is just one of three contacts I'm having them do for me. While one of the others is a natural-looking green eye (for days when I need to look professional), the third is a full-eye black contact with the green Xbox logo in the middle. I am wavin' my geek flag high.

I am SO looking forward to the next office party...

As for vision and attitude and everything else (except the fact that I AM middle-aged and pudgy, darn you Baakay

), the fact is that everyone has something annoying in their life, whatever that something might be, and if we all griped about it, absolutely nobody on this planet would be fun to be around. Life's too short for that.

Sorry to hear about your vision, but that contact sounds very cool to me.

I've been thinking about designer contacts since before someone posted that URL link sometime back (not for myself however since I don't wear contacts). Some of them look like they would take some getting used to. I wonder if some of them are pretty hard to adjust to?

Even though this statement made me laugh *snicker...mofo*, I totally agree!

Side note, are you used to the change of only seeing things with 1 good eye? When my uncle had surgery for one eye and had to wear the eye patch, he had a hard time with depth perception (did I spell that right?). He kept crashing into things. He is in his 70's and almost blind in both eyes. Now he has an excuse to bump into pretty girls lol....my uncle is such a nut.
