I use Avast!, and it is a real bargain. For free antivirus, it is incedibly thorough and does not max out my memory or slow down my hard drive. My computer starts up about 50% faster now than it did with Norton, and they update their virus defs more than once a week. This, along with Spybot, has kept my computer virus free.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

Yeah, a lot of times people think they have viruses when it's actually spyware. Spybot and Ad Aware are great tools for that.

Spybot is an excellent choice for removing those that cannot be found with regular anti-spyware software. It does a good job of thoroughly cleaning and that's where most of the problem lies, is through spyware. Computer viruses, though can be really bad for your computer, are not as "common" as spy/ad ware, which can really wreak havoc on your PC system.

Pairing Spybot (which is free) with any good anti-virus software is great for keeping computer problems at bay. *glomps Toni*

What kind of computer science interests you?
