I have a 60 gb black video ipod, and I love, love, love it! It's my third Ipod -- not because I had any trouble or issues with the other two, but because I upgraded every few years. I have two anime series stored on mine, as well as my whole music library. I've been really happy with the video quality, and, for the size of the screen, the picture is really good. I haven't had any problems with the screen or casing scratching, but I keep mine in a case pretty much all the time.

Going for a 30gb MP3 player is perfect for your needs, eddiefb3.
I don't know much about the Ipod brand- except I had problems navigating with it so I gave up *heh*. I have a 60gb Creative Zen Vision M and am very happy with that. This has a slighter better screen than the IPod in terms of size and clarity and I've not a problem with it in the 6 months I've owned it.

For those of you who are concerned about getting it scratched, I spent some time researching cases and skins and bought an InvisiShield for my player. It protects it really well and I don't hesitate recommending it. This is coming from someone who's eager to keep everything he owns in top condition whilst only spending the minimum to do so ;) You can get these 'coatings' for most MP3 players and PDAs etc so it's a worthwhile investment.

sounds cool!

I was looking on itunes today, i didnt realize there were so many podcasts. Covering just about every subject.

And you can watch them on your ipod?

Thats cool! Like having a TV only with stuff you want on it.

Oh, i was wondering. How did you get your anime series onto it?

Do you have a special dvd ripper that rips directly, or something....

And if so...is it free? or is there a free one....or something lol.

And final question, i was wondering if you can listen to the radio on the ipod? Or maybe the internet radio on itunes?

Thanks everyone!

I was wondering about that too. :dlook

I have the black 60 gig video ipod, but I only have one video on it, so I would love to use that feature more often.

This free program is great to use for converting video files such as .avi into "ipod ready" mpeg4 files. There are lots of other programs that you can purchase to convert files, but for a free one this is very good :)

I'm still using my Playstation Portable for viewing movies.

Screen is much larger and won't break my eyes as much! :vict

Also the battery charge lasts around 7.5 hours for continuous movies on Psp while the Ipod quits after 1 movie or around 2.5 hours!

Here's a link to information.

If you want music, then buy an Ipod.

for Games and Movies I like my psp!

What will you buy? Tell me! /ok
