WOW! That's the same as me! I built my computer in 2004. Same Processor, same RAM, and same OS. I don't remember my mobo anymore, and my video card crapped out on me (I also don't remember what it was). I never set up RAID though.zerospace wrote:I'm also using a custom-built... well, in conjunction with my Toshiba laptop.
My desktop (about 4 years old now *sweat*, but still running like new):
P4 2.8GHz Prescott CPU
2GB Corsair PC3200 XMS memory
Asus P4P800SE motherboard
nVidia GeForce 5700 Ultra graphics card
2 Western Digital 250GB SATA hard drives in RAID 1 (mirrored)
OS: Windows XP Professional
I'm currently using my Gateway laptop that I bought in a hurry before a short notice trip. It has a 1.8GHz AMD Processor and only 1G of RAM. It runs XP home.

Nice! Mine has been through a few changes over the years since I first built it (I think its first incarnation was in 2002-2003). About a year or so ago I upgraded the RAM from 1GB to 2GB... and also went from a single 80GB SATA to the 2x250GBs in mirrored RAID. I had long wanted to set the RAID array up, but was waiting for the right hardware to hit the market. When Western Digital released the WD2500KS, I got themmiz ducky wrote:WOW! That's the same as me! Yoshito and I actually have the parts for a core 2 duo desktop machine sitting around... all we have to do is pick a motherboard.
