I love the Fifth Element - I can watch it over and over again. I love any movie with Jeff Goldblum in it, especially Buckaroo Banzai and Earth Girls Are Easy. I also like to watch my Mystery Science Theater 3000 dvds when I am in the mood. I want to get more of them but they go for like $60 each. As for animation, its usually Scooby, Sonic, Inspector Gadget or Inuyasha.

I have the first volume of the Loony Tunes Golden Collection and its taking me forever to get through them (there are like 5 or 6 dvds in each volume) - so lately its been Loony Tunes.

I feel like I am watching more and more dvds because there isn't much to watch on TV. We have ATnT U-verse and I still cannot manage to find anything to watch! :bwall

Princess Bride, Pirate Movie, Galaxy Quest, UHF, and Mystery Men. Those are the movies I'll tend to pop in the DVD when I just want to watch something and enjoy myself.

Anime-wise, I usually opt for Bonobono, Nintama, or Detective Conan. Stuff I can just sit and enjoy. I've seen the Bonobono movie far too many times now.

Wow! A lot of you have the same taste I have - Fifth Element, Princess Bride, Galaxy Quest, Lord of the Rings (I have the deluxe versions and watch it at least once a year), Indiana Jones, and almost anything by the Coen brothers. TV: X-Files (have seasons 1, 2, 3, 5, 6), Doctor Who, and, of course, LOOOSSSST!

Okay - my feel good, go-to movie is Princess Bride. It's still funny after all these years. "Hello. I am Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." :crackup

Anime: duh! DBZ

Movie would have to be Shawshank Redemption and anime would have to be Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust or anything Bleach.

Although I own more than 2,000 DVDs (movies and TV series), the one place on the shelves I always find myself going back to is Futurama. :D

For anime: Slayers
