For all his talent (which was great) and all his money (which is practically non-existent now), he was a pathetic person. I always felt bad for him. It isn't easy for child stars - so many of them end up with problems.
One thing we must remember is that "mercy triumphs over judgment." (It's somewhere in the book of James). Only God knows the heart.
RIP, Michael.

My cooler head is not prevailing at the moment. I even stepped away for a bit. But I decided to politely live up to my nickname of Troublemaker. This is not a thread to be pushing religious beliefs. It's about people's personal opinions of Michael Jackson - good or bad. I have been offended. I personally will say what I think about a person dead or alive.

Like many of you, I loved MJ as a kid. I wore out that Thriller tape, and the video of the making of Thriller. However, once he started going off the deep end in the mid 90's, it was over. Funny, but it seems to me that time has a way of weeding out the negative when it comes to the famous. No one remembers that John Wayne was an ardent racist. Folks seem to forget that Elvis had a sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl. Bing Crosby beat his wife and children. Maybe in 20 years, he will be remembered for his music. For now, though, he will be remembered as a perfectly true story of a fall from glory.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.
