Heheheheee ... the conversations with the loquacious botling are getting stranger by the day.
Finally finished GetBackers. *weep!! It's over!!* I want more, dammit. What's at the top of that tower??!! Arrrgh. Just like Trinity Blood, the story gets really pumped and rolling just in time for the series to end.
I am ... bereft.
So, based on wandering through Perv-Chan's gallery the other day in search of turkey, I decided to fire up Mirage of Blaze. Episode 1 complete. Story = historical background with samurai spirits come back to life? *click* Hooked again. (Sadly, after watching GetBackers in all of its bishie glory this artwork doesn't appeal to me nearly as much. Oh well. I'll take a good story).

Movies
Fritz The Cat
I saw it like 10 years ago, late night, in french----- borrowed a friends DVD and stayed up until 3am watching it last night. Now, all I can say after seeing it finally in its original form is----
faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar out.
Anyone who knows about this movie knows what entails.
I havent seen something so abundantly crazy since Yellow Submarine
It's obscene- controversial- disgustingly funny, a precursor to South Park
And it has one helluva sense of style!
trippy
60's power
brutal, explicit violence
It was crazy animated movie experience.

This and that
My most recent list is a little like this:
Shakugan no Shana eps.1-7
Naruto eps 159-161
Yakitate eps. 44-46
Solty Rei eps 5-6
AND MONSTER !!
oh my god Im going crazy !!
Ive very patiently waited forever to get the next episode, but >.<
I mean, I'll not download anything else until I get Monster. Its the only series I really look for nowadays (Its so hard to find something as good)
and its gotten so edge of your seat suspensefull that Ive just got to see !!
arrrggghh !!
I'm this close to finding the raws [ ]
Shakugan no Shana eps.1-7
Naruto eps 159-161
(This is not really a spoiler for Naruto but: I believe something horrible is going to happen with this series. The average anime is only roughly 170-something eps at the most and all these lame barely watchable fillers might cut out any amazing ending like with Inu Yasha.) |

Is that a fact.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I'm still having limited time to watch anime. I'm not sure how long this will go on.
Shakugan no Shana 9 (okay/decent - 5.5):
Decent light, funny episode. I think someone at the production studio is showing their sense of humor by putting those eyecatches with that serious sounding music.
Flutter of Birds 1 of 2 (okay/fair - 5.2)(English title: "Virgin Touch"):
I had been looking forward to seeing this for some time. It's an adult anime, but thought I'd be something that I might like. The animation was average. The anime gave me a feeling similar to "Refrain Blue", but the main guy in "Flutter of Birds" seems somewhat unreliable compared to the male lead in Refrain Blue.
I don't think the girl's stories came off well at all. They crammed two girl's stories into the first episode. Their stories felt very rushed and I think they did a poor job at presenting them.
One day I'm going to find another decent "more normal" adult anime that'll crack my favorite "more normal" top nine. This anime doesn't even come close to those. **sigh** The search continues and is ongoing.
Rozen Maiden - Träumend 7 (okay/decent - 5.5):
A cute and funny episode with a bit of seriousness thrown in. I thought the humor was more original than most of the earlier comedic episodes. But what is going on at the doll shop?
Shuffle! 20 (decent - 5.7):
That music box song is so sad when played under the right circumstance. It gave me slight flashbacks to the music box songs that were played in the Kana and Giniro games.
Looks like everyone is wearing their "winter" school uniforms which means it's past ?October 1st. Things didn't seem to be going too bad in this one compared to episode 19, but I spoke too soon.
Arghh!! It was one tension filled scene to the next. I couldn't move. I kept expecting something horrible to happen.
Then...OMG a cliffhanger!! What a look on the person's face.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SHUFFLE EPISODE 19:
I give kudos again to the director for continuing to keep the ending unpredictable (especially compared to most ren'ai game anime). There is no main girl in Shuffle! which makes his task easier, but even given that it's quite a feat. It looks like he even stuck a small tribute to Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien in there. I'm impressed.
OFF-TOPIC:
Are they having a Licensed Anime Crackdown this week?
It seems that way to me with all the websites going down or altering their anime links this week.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SHUFFLE EPISODE 19:
After thinking this over for a week, I DO feel a bit sorry for Kaede now. I mean...first she lost her mother. Then she thought she had no reason to live because she felt she killed her mother. Then her purpose in life was to HATE Rin and make his life miserable. After finding out how wrong she was, Kaede spent all those years trying to make up for what she did. She feels she's worthless, but she feels she has purpose as long as she's helping Rin. Her frustration built up because she holds everything inside. But then when she felt Rin slipping away, she felt she was not only losing the one she loved, but also her only reason for existence. That was when she lashed out. Kaede's quite messed up in the head, but that was somewhat obvious even from the first episode. ![]() ![]() |

I can understand them doing it even if it's sort of annoying that I can't see them subbed. It bothers me more that it's now harder to see UNlicensed anime and raws.pastatdude wrote:Tell me about it.I've never made so many changes to my bookmarks!

What did you think of it? Are you more interested in Shuffle because of episode 19 or less?kymaera wrote:Then, I watched Shuffle #19.
The anime-only freakiness is turning some people off from Shuffle while at the same time attracting some people back to it. I'm kind of in the middle. I like it and yet I don't like it.
