Watched Fantastic 4 and Revenge of the Sith on DVD back-to-back. It was a sci-fi/fantasy love fest.

Let's see . . . yesterday, I watched th preview for Bleach 61 . . . several times (mainly in an effort to freak out my sister) the first 6 or so episodes of Weiss Krus Gluton. Nope, I've never seen the original series before, but my roommate convinced me to watch it . . . I must say that it is pretty stupid so far. Sorry, gals. I like the pretty boys, but . . . :?

This morning I watched Bleach 61. :D

Bleach 61.

I continue to be wholly astonished by this show.

And... Zipang 11. Worth the wait, by god. I never thought I'd be meserized by a war story, but it's so neat to watch them writing an alternate history for the war in the pacific... Tonight's cliffhanger, what WILL happen at Guadalcanal now that they've royally messed with history to begin with?

and now. NOW I get to pick another older series to watch while I wait for next week's installments of stuff I'm keeping up with.

I romped through Mirage of Blaze over Thanksgiving, and loved it (aside from the fact that the characters were never drawn the same two episodes in a row, which I found very distracting). Suggestions gratefully suggested.

Well, the problem with Spiral is that it didn't end..it just stopped.

Last night, I watched Bleach 61, Shuffle 21 and Lyrical Nanoha A's 7.

Oooo!

Yes, once again under the weather, but it's a good chance to watch stuff... in this case, another of the shows people have been badgering me to watch, Samurai Champloo. First 3 episodes.

Awesome!

And I had to watch it partly because of Kymaera. "I haven't seen it. I'm prejudiced against it because someone compared it to Kenshin."

Diss my favorite show willya... :tongue Not that you've seen Kenshin either... :tongue .

I can't see any resemblance between the two shows aside from the fact that there are swords in it. It's just tooooo different. And I really like it.

That's what I keep telling him, but he's just stubborn. :tongue

Actually, as far as story-telling style goes, I would compare it more to Cowboy Bebop, but I suppose that's because it was directed by the same guy.

Karin 4-5 (okay/decent - 5.5):
We're back to the part of the manga that got English translated. :? They are putting scenes in a different order from the manga. I haven't seen episode six yet, but from what I hear Ren (Karin's older brother) is coming off as less underhanded than he was in the manga.

To Heart 2 ep.11 (okay - 5.4):
I'm not sure exactly what happened since AS Forum is down and I can't find any discussion or blogs on this episode. But basically it was another get together of all of the girls from the show similar to episode seven. What happened after they got there is the BIG question. Seems like it became some kind of test or contest involving Takaki and the girls. An episode preview for next week's show didn't include any animation clips so we're somewhat in the dark as to what will happen next week. I hope they're not making up something lame again that wasn't in the game. X|

Shakugan no Shana 11 (decent - 5.6):
More yuckiness here. Bleah! :emb LOL :D I didn't find this too bad even if some people didn't like the fact that it was nearly all "talking". The plot is being advanced and that's a good thing. Can't wait for the subtitle so I can understand more of what they were talking about.

Karin 6 (okay - 5.4):
The story feels so much simpler with all the stuff from the manga that they left out of the anime. With those plot points left out, the story feels cliched, somewhat simple minded and not very different from a lot of other anime. Oh well...that's life eh. I wonder if Karin's brother is ever going to get to show his "sneaky side" or not.

This concludes this manga-to-anime conversion complaint #4,676,831. :D

Rozen Maiden - Träumend 9 (decent/fairly good - 5.7):
Heh...another emotional sepia episode to watch. :^^: I enjoyed this one. It's obviously making me think of another anime, but how can it not since it kinda set the standard for these kinds of things? Anyway...it looks like the next episode is going to be sad. :bawl I'd really love to see a Rie Tanaka voice recording session sometime considering how much her fellow seiyuu say she gets involved in her character on this particular show. They say Rie even requested a couple people hold her back while she was voicing one scene in Rozen. :)

Shuffle! 22 (okay/decent 5.5):
I cheated on this one and read an anime blog of this last night. So nothing in this episode came as much of a surprise. I knew there weren't any major spoilers left that I didn't know about, but it ruined nearly all of the jokes by knowing what was going to happen. :(

Poor Eustoma. Woh! ROFL :D Someone asked how Primula can move her ears and tail, but isn't it obvious based on what happened earlier? :sweatdrop I need a Gif of that please. :^^: Tsubomi made a cameo here so at least we got to see her one time. She's a character appearing in a later console version of the game. Looks like the next episode will finally explain the last two major spoilers of the show. \o/

I got sidetracked from anime and rewatched Season 4/5 of Family Guy, which I believe is the funniest half hour show out there. (Please feel free to contradict me so I can verify your statement ;) )

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

More Utena --- I think, discs 5 & 6 this time. This show is really wacky and quite odd ... but it is growing on me. (Actually, this kind of scares me a bit 8O )

I've also been watching Season 4 of Law & Order. :D
