Klet, I hadn't noticed the director of Champloo was the same as for Bebop! No wonder Mugen reminds me of a whacked out Spike so much. :)

I'm through episode 16 of it now and absolutely dying because there are only 10 episodes left!! *weep*

And in a completely different vein altogether, I watched Zetsuai and Bronze yesterday. Thoroughly loved Zetsuai. Everything about it -- the story of these two guys struggling with and against their feelings, the art, the whole thing. Absolutely despised Bronze. How COULD they do that to the character designs? Gross!! Ugly!! distracting!! The only saving grace about it was the poorly-explored family relationship between the 3 brothers...

And so I happily went back to Samurai Champloo.

Watching Bleach and Naruto as they come out as usual, but I have found time for a few others recently.....watched the entire X series and it was awsome (tho my only complaint would have to be that the charator animation art makes them hard to tell apart sometimes LOL, maybe its just me). Tenjou Tenge, this series was another of my recent favorites! I also recently watch Samurai Champloo....gotta love the sword slinging duo...what a great series. Currently I am watching Get Backers and I reallly love this series....each charactor has there own special abilities and there is a lot of comedy which I personally love in a series. I would give my seal of approval on all of these animes, enjoy! :D

YUP! That's what I say too. I loved the series but feel jipped about the "ending".

I'm rewatching Card Captor Sakura for only the second time ever. And I'm attempting to finish Tactics. I love it but I'm running out of time to do everything. Guess it's just that time of year.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

I'm really getting down to hardly watching anything, but the busy holiday season has something to do with it (along with the anime delays). The end of the anime season I tend to watch less stuff anyway.

Arisa 1-2 (okay - 5.25):
This made me think of Steel Angel Kurumi, but without the personality. :^^: They had to cram in as much of the storylines of THREE of the game's characters AND tell a satisfying story in fifty eight minutes. That's a difficult thing to do and I don't think it worked out real well. Not bad, but not great either. :?

To Heart 2 compilation episode (NOT ep.12) (okay/fair - 5.1):
Sadly they decided to use this episode as a compilation episode to explain all the girls that Takaki met over the course of the show. I'm left to wonder why they would do this since this series seems to only have two episodes left. At least some of Konomi and Tamaki's comments on the scenes they were showing were sometimes funny. I'll have to find out exactly what they said later.

Shuffle 23 (okay/decent - 5.5):
I basically already knew what was going to happen, but at least I was suprised by one part of it. It would have been better if I didn't know the spoilers ahead of time, but what's done is done. Someone posted way back on a message board claiming to have insider production knowledge saying that ^%!# was going to be the winning girl (which seems to have proven accurate). He also claimed that the ending was going to be "innovative" for an anime based off a romance game. Whether it will be or not remains to be seen. There's one more episode left and the twenty fourth episode is reportedly going to be delayed a week. :?

Shakugan no Shana 12 (decent/fairly good - 5.7):
I thought this was another pretty cool episode. The beginning was a bit melodramatic, but I still liked it. I give credit to Yuji for being able to figure a couple things out. There were some decent action scenes that made me wish I owned a home theater system. That boy is kinda sick in his own weird way. :puzzled The next episode looks like it'll be cool too, but it's delayed until January 4th. :?

There's a LOT of anime being delayed. I THINK Rozen Maiden Traumend is the anime that's going to have a ??three? week delay and there was that To Heart 2 compilation episode this week. X|

Aaaaahhhh, vacation. Time to indulge in anime :) Like I ever wait for vacation...

I got caught up on Bleach 8O , Shana, Ueki, and my other "usuals". Bleach continues to awe me. Why do I like Ueki? not a clue, but it's fun. Mindless entertainment has its place. (Maybe I just like hearing Inuyasha's voice coming out of a monkey-looking guy. :D )

Then I had a mini-marathon of Sousei no Aquarion. Wow!! This is one of those shows that is either VERY good or VERY bad. I've loved it passionately from the beginning, but there was a string of about 3 episodes (17-19?) that were genuinely bad. They didn't even bother with the B team on them, they went right to the interns, I think. Animation was awful, story lines were pointless... the worst sort of filler. Then with ep. 20 we are back to the plot, the beautiful art, and... *cheer* some thoroughly gorgeous computer-generated mecha action.

There's a sequence in ep. 21 where I was thinking they must have done one of those "capture the movents of dancers in front of the blue screen and use that as the basis for the fight" things. How's that for my technological know-how. It was simply beautiful, which made perfect sense given the two characters involved.

Aaaand... I decided to start on Juuni Kokki. Wow! 8O I'm thinking I will like this.

I have only one question: is there an anime from the past 10 years in which Takehito Koyasu does NOT have at least a bit part? /heh

I just watched Mai Otome 11 & Paradise Kiss 09.

I liked Shuffle 22 and already have 23, though I fell asleep before I could watch it (which is very good for me *yay*). I can't believe this series is almost over, I'm crossing my fingers that I'll like the ending.

That Nekomimi Primula avatar is very popular. I've seen it used by several posters on several different forums. I'd use it longer, but I have to get back to my scanning.

It's a boring week without Shuffle!, Shakugan no Shana or Rozen Maiden Traumend. :l

To Heart 2 ep. 12 (okay/semi-decent - 5.45):
This is the second to last episode. I thought it was alright, but was hoping for a little more. I was hoping for a love triangle at the end so they could go more into a particular character's story, but no such luck. I suppose love triangles in shounen/seinen anime from the past few years have become so common that they could be considered cliche, but I enjoy them all the same.

I wish there was a gradual build up of this girl's story. Without the build up, events appear to flare up from nowhere and the ending feels somewhat rushed and lacking in emotional content.

Yay! Four days until the new anime season starts! :yay \(^_^)/
