I liek milk.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Oh, yes. I spent 2 hours on Thursday shelving books.

Since it's a library focusing on architecture, however, I'm getting a lot more practice with numbers. About five of the eight rows are NAs. Periodicals are not included in the number of shelves (who would have thought Better Homes and Gardens would be in the bound journal section?

Upon inspection of my pm, I discoved that I did not put Cardcaptor Sakura. I couldn't think of anything, so I made something up.

Me! Me!!! I know this one!! It's something thatklet wrote:(who would have thought Better Homes and Gardens would be in the bound journal section?Baakay wrote:Coming from library land, rich in useless alphabet soup (as I am sure you are discovering!)), since they're in a separate section of the library.
1) comes out in parts,
2) at(usually) regular intervals, and
3) has no particular stated end-date (like things where they say "this will be a 16-volume edition.")
Therefore it isn't a monograph, and having gone through that process of painful elimination it will end up either a bound journal or a "light reading" selection, depending on the library!
(they don't call it liberry science fer nuthin' you know)

They have you... SHELVING?

I'm definitely with stupid on this one!! (just to inch slightly closer to the topic

Over the last year or so, I've discovered that at my university, the phrase "student worker" generally translates to "universal lackey/grunt." There are some exceptions, but still . . .Baakay wrote:They have you... SHELVING?THERE's a good use of brainpower...

Yeah, I was just surprised that a zine like BH&G would be considered academic by anyone. Then again, I have discovered in the past week that this library stocks quite a few practical things as well . . . including tile/wallpaper/etc. catalogues. Go figure.

Yep, that was me.Not Sir Phobos wrote:Was your answer Crime Scene Solvers?klet wrote:![]()

Heh, I very rarely check this Games forum so I missed it all.
I'm glad I didn't enter the first round because many of my answers would be trashed for profanity and/or unsuitable suggestiveness.
No actually, some would have been really funny. SO funny that you would have died laughing. Too late now. Oh well. Your loss.

Still, we couldn't have that, a dead Counter is no use to anyone.
