Look harder.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I fail to see it as "wholesome family entertainment." The work, similar to
Huck Finn, addresses mature themes that young minds can't fully understand.
Woh...putting all those clips together sure does make it look warped doesn't it? 8O

Couldn't have said it better Keropi. That was very intense - nice find WC.
Both Watership Down and Animal Farm were films I watched at far too young an age (around 9-10),
thanks to an uncle who had a very early version VCR. They have both haunted me to this day
(I own a copy of Animal Farm, but have never been able to purchase Watership Down).

After thinking over, both carefully and well, I've decided to share a couple of advertisements for the new
Reservoir Dogs video game through Eidos. Since it's release, it's been banned in Australia and is
starting to be pulled off the shelves in London (and it's not even that good of a game :roll).
PLEASE BE ADVISED: NSFW - these videos are considered "viral ads" and depict scenes from the
movie using children and grandmotherly-types. If your easily offended by foul language, then
don't click the links. Otherwise....enjoy! :dwink

Ah that's funny. :D

Well at least I thought they were funny. :)

I don't have anything to top that, but here's another clip from the Gundam model guy parodying Inukami episode 20. That was the episode there was a pervert master that had the "skill" of being able to remove female character's undergarments through their clothes:

I find the clip funny even if I don't understand exactly what they're saying. :^^:

In a different post, someone mentioned Peta vs. Steve Irwin. Basically,
Peta decided it would be clever to insult a dead man's contribution to the
animal kingdom, claiming he was cruel to animals, etc.

Peta is a radical and, frankly, unstable organization who seeks the
"total liberation of animals." Not sure exactly what that means, but they
incorporate violence into their demonstrations. There's not much difference
between them and terrorists. Actually, there is no difference.

Check out the episode of Penn and Teller's show "Bullshit" which features Peta.
Sorry to swear, but hey, it's the name of the show!

Here is the Google video version

Or the smaller sized YouTube version

Both contain the exact same content, just the viewing aspect ratio is different.

Peta is a dangerous and shameful organization. Why the government
hasn't done something to them by now is beyond logic. They're a
bunch of freakin' hypocrites too, as you'll see in the video.

Why did they need a giant freezer?
Where does insulin come from?

Gee...

Girls's Costume Warehouse

Right in time for Halloween!

Contains some mild naughty language, so you might want to shoo your
grandmother out of the room before clicking "play."

Not many people express themselves the way you do.

I've always been a big fan of this Hunter X Hunter AMV.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhebF4B34qc

It features a remixed version of "Requiem for a Dream (Remix)", from the "Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers" OST. Audio and video quality is far better in the original AMV file, but for Youtube it's still entertaining ^_^

I stopped thinking PETA was a decent activist group when I learned they put antifreeze in show dogs water-- at the dogshow!. CRATED showdogs; animals that had NO other water source. PETA claimed they were "saving" the dogs....now, that's bullshit for P&T's show.
EDIT-- I believe Peta is also against the ASPCA; the largest(?) animal rescue organization in America! (correct me if I'm wrong.)

In fact, when Penn gave the definition of "ethical" as 'moral' it made me realize that PeTA is hypocritical right in their own name! Also, if anyone notices, the "e" in PETA is almost always lower case-- I guess that's an optional adjective. I just wanted to throw my two cents in about how NOT right PETA really is. It's amazing how many people are blinded to the cruel deaths peta causes to some "suffering" animals (ie, the showdogs) and claims they are "liberating slaves". Some people take animal rights to a horrible extreme.

okay; now that I spoke my mind.... I should've joined this thread MUCH sooner! :D

Here's a few vids I really like:
Nightwalker AMV
...it's a silly thing, really. :)
Mentos & diet coke spoof
Coko the Bunny!
there's a whole series of Coko. He's so cute. :)

I seem to have trouble getting behind the whole "we would kill every monkey on earth in order to save one junkie" thing.
And ever since Penn's appearance on The Colbert Report, I've begun to think that he's nothing more than a bloated, self-aggrandizing and overbearing ass. :flipa

I never intended to start an argument. I really don't care who sent the messege that PeTA is too radical to be called an animal rights organization, it's a fact that should be spread. Even it's own members are hypocrites, if you watch the video.
When Penn said he would strangle chimps for just one AIDs junkie, I thought that was a bit off, but he was just trying to solidify a point.

So, that said, let's get back to the youtube clips. 'Kay, thanks.

yup. peta would love to endorse this one. NOT!

One thing does not negate the other. Plenty of people are jackasses but that doesn't mean they can't make a legitimate point about something. Facts are facts, personality is subjective.

A lot of people think Colbert is a jerk. Comes down to preference I guess. Besides, the point was about PETA, not what kind of "great guy" Penn is or isn't.

And you're right Okuni, PETA is against the SPCA.

Penn's point about the monkeys and the AIDS infected junkie could be taken two ways: satire or truth. If he was being satirical, the irony is pretty clear. If he was being honest, his point would be that those deaths would actually have a purpose (animal testing = sacrifice for the advancement of medical science). Unlike PETA destroying so many animals with no purpose. PETA's very nature is to undermine the laboratories and companies who use animals for the sake of saving someone like the AIDS infected junkie (sticking with the controversial example Penn cited) but they are simultaneously undoing progress as well as needlessly destroying animals with their own acts. How is that even logical?

I don't have to like someone to agree with them. So what if Penn is an ass? Does that prove him wrong about Peta? Nope.

For PETA to make the comparison involving the holocaust... argh! How socially irresponsible can you get! :x
