One of the windows came off alignment in this morning It does not close nor open anymore.....
Do you know how to fix it? (we are going to CA in a couple days....) or do you have a good advise? I guess I have to skip work tomorrow and bring our car to a body shop but I think it is very easy fix if you know what you are doing (it is totally not mechanical at all.....)

No My car has all manual windows My car is old Geo 91' (so this is why I think it should be very easy fix ) I think all it needs is to pop it back in the right place......
Well, at least that's good! My stupid windows are sooo expensive to have fixed. I've burned out more motors and had my driver's side window stuck DOWN in the middle of a thunderstorm.. that was awful.
Good luck -- hope you're able to get it fixed quickly!
I would expect that your window regulator is broken in that door. Take the car to a repair shop or dealer rather than a body shop. The repair will involve removing the door panel & replacing the regulator (things a body shop does not do)
It should be an easy fix.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Ah, ok thanks You know many things (including cats )
If you are mechanically inclined at all then I'd say dive in there yourself. Manual mindow regulators are very simple devices to figure out. Also very easy to repair if the window did just pop off the track. If the regulator needs replaced then just leave the door panel off, go to Kragens(or Reibes) buy a regulator and go to an independant shop and ask them to slap in in there for ya. Already having the door panel removed and doing the footwork for the part should save you some cost at eh repair shop. Stay away from dealerships for a car like yours though, independants can do the same repair job for less labor charge.
If you are not mechanicaly inclined then just take it to a repair shop outright and pay for the repair.
