...James Bond, a Cowboy or or Policeman. That's what I said when I was a small child. None were particularly accessible or agreeable occupations in later life.
So what were your aspirations as a young'un?
So what were your aspirations as a young'un?
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

That's interesting. Is this a historical question?

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I've always wanted to be an artist.. one way or another.
Being a traditional animator has been my dream since I was 2 1/2 (yup I sketched before I could even talk or write coherently lol go fig
)
But alas! The way things are going in the industry
its nearly impossible.. *sigh*
Its ok thou! I had the pleasure of being trained and having 1 semester
of trad. animation to keep myself happy ^_^
So next best career move: Illustration. And thats where I'm at right now

When I was a kid I wanted to be either a teacher or a nurse or a veterinarian. Or a meteorologist. Or a writer. Or an artist or musician.
I tried being a teacher. Loved student teaching, hated the real thing. Realized that although I loved biology and medical stuff I was too much of a softy to work with sick people or pets... Realized that I wasn't good enough at math to be a meteorologist or any kind of scientist, for that matter.
So... I worked in a medical library for awhile, and then in a library at an "education school" where I occasionally get to teach. And where there's a nursing program and a meteorology program.
Realized that although I was a pretty decent writer, the things I wrote about started happening to me (I kid you not. It was spooky) and that I wasn't good enough with plot design to make a living at it. Same with music and art. So I sang in a bunch of choral groups while studying to work in said library... wrote a bunch of dull library science stuff, and ended up cataloging more music than you could shake a stick at. And I still draw for my own pleasure.
When I grow up, I want to be a housewife who gets to sing around the house without having people groan, and who gets to draw and paint all she likes.

I'm not gonna grow up and you can't make me!!!!
Dang, I went through a lot of stages. I wanted to be a nun for a while (what little catholic girl doesn't?) then an astronaut, then Indiana Jones, then a mermaid, president (that didn't last long), vet, and marine biologist.
Strangely enough, "lawyer" was never in there anywhere....

I wanted to be...
1. A pitcher for the Red Sox(fastest pitch in high school was 72mph, so that dream was a bust)
2. A writer(I still entertain that thought, and my poetry is improving)
3. A teacher(my mother has been an educator for 25 years now, so I wanted to take after her).
Oh well, one out of three ain't bad!

I just wanted to be an adult, no more school... Now that I'm here, I want to go back.
Oh I guess that and a boyfriend (When I want to grow up I want to be a boyfriend, not have a boyfriend... wait... why am I explaining this? I've been here too long...).
Only decided to become an Electrical Engineer in High School after seeing a guy being able to tell the resitance of a resistor by looking at it. I was amazed and thought that was the coolest thing in the world... till I started College and found out that the colored bands tell you that. >.> Boy did I feel conned. At least now I know what we do... Electricute people and blame it on the Civils. =D

My mother tells the story of when I was seven. I had always been like any other kid with " I wanna be an........" Then I walked in and said that I was going to be an Architect. She said that I never mentioned anything else, even in passing, ever again. Seven is second grade, I am suprised that I even knew what an Architect was
That was forty one years ago and I am still an Architect
Still have not grown up either
